Popular beachfront rental well known as the LAIE BEACH RETREAT or LAIEBEACHRETREAT

Sandy BEACHFRONT North Shore retreat located on the Hukilau Beach of Laie Bay! Our beautiful home is well known as the 'Laie Beach Retreat' but could be called the Turtle House. Our home has an ideal location; the reef ends to the east of our house. We've seen up to 5 turtles, surfing, in front of our home. We are BEACHFRONT - no crossing the highway to get to the beach required!

The main house features 3 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms, and there are an additional two studio cottages for extra guests. Rent the main house, one or both of the cottages, or the entire property! View the ocean from our living room and enjoy cooking in our huge kitchen and dining area, with two cook tops and two refrigerators. Relax inside while still enjoying the ocean breeze and sounds while using our TV, Wi-Fi, and our private outside hot water shower!

If you would like more privacy or quiet time, you should request one or two of the studio cottages, in addition to the main house. Our main house is an authentic Hawaiian beach house with an open floor plan. The upstairs loft has the best ocean view, and the upstairs bedroom has a sliding door on one side, and a sliding wall on the other.

Foodland is close by at the Laie Shopping Center, and is open every day except Sunday. On Sundays, the Laie Shopping Center and the Polynesian Cultural Center are closed. Shopping is available at Tamura's and Longs/CVS Drugs in Hauula, which is 2.6 miles away, and at the Kahuku Superette, in Kahuku, which is 2.5 miles away.

Our guests (since 2002) have consistently remarked that they have enjoyed an excellent and unforgettable stay on one of the best beaches on the island!

The Owners are a Kama'aina family, born and both raised in Honolulu. Always drawn to the north shore, we were finally able to acquire our dream vacation home in 2001 with the intent of having our families enjoy this spectacular beach. We immediately started a two-year complete renovation. We are now able to share our home and its oustanding location with you. The photo above shows a few of us (and three generations) relaxing at the Laie Beach Retreat.

Why they chose this property

We planned our renovations with families in mind and what they might need while vacationing at the beach. It's the small but important things - such as two refrigerators, two cooktops, a full size oven and microwave, a large gated yard for security and privacy. Having enough room for cooking, or enough fridge space for food and drinks, beach chairs to sit on the dune and enjoy the view, as well as peace of mind while your children enjoy playing on our grassy yard in a secure gated area - these are the type of details we have considered and hopefully you can enjoy our home as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location! Laie Bay is gorgeous and our location is ideal due to its sandy area in front of our home which makes for the best entry point to swim, bodysurf, boogie board. Reef is located to the east which is also good for snorkeling, turtle watching or surfing. Proximity to the Laie Village Shopping Center - walk down the beach and cross the road with the kids for shave ice or an ice cream treat. Quick drive to Foodland for that one dinner item you may have forgotten.
