About this property
Owl's Roost | Pet-Friendly, WIFI & Mountain Views!
Upon entering this polished & newly constructed home, you'll immediately be greeted by the open floor plan that highlights the modern and colorful details that lend this home its cohesive and refined style. From the navy blue leather couch to the rich yellow and tangerine accents sprinkled throughout the living and dining room, this stylish home offers an inviting and contemporary atmosphere that will instantly relax you and transport you to a vacation state of mind! In the morning, enjoy your coffee on the covered front porch while you feel the fresh breeze and look out at the gorgeous year-round mountain views. After coffee, take advantage of the high-speed WIFI to work on creative or work-related projects at the connected workstation complete with a monitor, scanner/printer, and other office supplies.
When you're ready, take a 5-minute drive into “The Little Town that Rocks,” Black Mountain. Known as the “Front Porch of Western North Carolina,” you'll spot the iconic red rocking chairs throughout this treasured small town that stand as your reminder to slow down, pull up a chair, and relax. Filled with novelty shops, art galleries, and boutiques, you can easily spend the entire day shopping for local goodies to help you remember your time in the mountains. For breakfast, stop into Louise's Kitchen where you can enjoy southern favorites paired with a rotating mega mosa served in a mason jar on their wraparound porch. As your morning coffee begins to wear off, head up the hill to the Dripolator Coffeehouse in the center of town. Along that street, you'll find the Swannanoa Valley Museum and the Black Mountain Center for the Arts where you can explore regional history and art. For lunch, walk a few doors down to enjoy delicious pub fare at The Trailhead, or pop into any of the many locally-owned restaurants and shops along Cherry Street in downtown Black Mountain.
For avid hikers, Montreat is a quick 5-minute drive, and Lookout Mountain is a great trail that's just under a mile long and offers stunning panoramic mountain views. Also in Montreat is the epic 4.8-mile Graybeard trail that offers incredible views (especially in the fall during the peak color-changing foliage). As a reward for your hike, grab a refreshing beer at Black Mountain Brewing or Lookout Brewing before heading over to Lake Tomahawk Park, where you can play a round of tennis, or read your favorite book on one of the benches as you take in the view of the Seven Sisters Mountain range and watch the ducks bathe. In the evening, sit down to dinner at Black Mountain Bistro and after dinner drinks at Black Mountain's premier distillery, Oak & Grist, or head home to craft a delicious meal in the gourmet kitchen complete with stainless appliances and sparkling quartz countertops. After dinner, end your perfect day by watching the sunset over the mountains with a glass of wine on the covered front porch while gathered around the column fire pit.
Keep in mind that no trip to the mountains of Western North Carolina is complete without experiencing the “The Paris of the South,” Asheville, located just 25 minutes away. While there, be sure to check out the hip and ever-eccentric River Arts District, Mast General Store, North Carolina Arboretum, and America's Largest Home ®, the Biltmore Estate. Asheville is also home to a large number of award-winning restaurants and breweries that you can sample between activities.
Nestled amid the Blue Ridge Mountains and offering unparalleled convenience, Owl's Roost provides a chic & cozy place to “roost” in between enjoying all of the amazing adventures and exciting experiences that Western North Carolina has to offer!
PLEASE NOTE: There is ongoing construction in the neighborhood that follows a weekday schedule of 8 to 5, with no work happening on weekends.
