The full kitchen has a breakfast bar and a sitting area with a couch and a deck outside. There is also a working wood stove perfect for Spring and Fall visitors. The house has a large front and back decks with stunning views. The house is built on a slope so when your sitting on the deck you feel like your in sitting in the sky overlooking beautiful protected land.
Extremely quiet surroundings, at end of a long drive. You'll have access to a dock to put in a kayak or canoe. The area is perfect for paddling around and exploring. There are two small islands to visit for a picnic or a swim, a colony of seals to watch (please try to respect their space and stay back 150 feet) and if your lucky Bald Eagles and Opreys nesting and hunting in the area. Wildlife abounds with eagles, osprey, terns, loons, cormorants and the occasional porpoise over the water and rabbits, deer and once in awhile porcupine or fox visit the property. This side of Mount Desert is often sunny when other parts are fog bound. The water is warmer here and more calm. Perfect for Kayaks and canoes.
