Each cabin has its own picnic area complete with firepit, lawn chairs and picnic table. Our cabins are equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay with us. Fully equipped kitchens, linens, bath toiletries, BBQ’s, board games, books, cable TV, DVD player, shared hot tub, and the beautiful outdoors.
Living in the mountains can have challenges that should be expected by guests. In the event of inclement weather, we will do out best to keep the driveways and walkways clear of snow as quickly as possible. In case of a power outage, we have a generator to keep the well pump going so that the cabins will have running water until the power is restored. We do not have a generator to provide electricity to the cabins but each cabin has a wood stove and we will provide firewood in case of a power outage. We do not refund because of acts of nature including storms, air quality from forest fires, etc. that are out of our control. We will do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The cabin was a perfect home base for my wife and I during a ski trip to White Pass. We cooked most of our meals in, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The Hot Tub was amazing, clean, and looked brand new! Our host Debbie was very fast to reply to messages.
We recently stayed at this cabin, and we had no complaints whatsoever! If we had a problem, Debbie would be right over to help out. Her communication was 10/10. Next time we find ourselves in the area, we will be staying there again!

Wonderful, cute , quiet cabin in the woods. Will stay here again
Nice cozy cottage. Debbie was a wonderful host. We couldn’t get the gas grill lit and she was there within 5 minutes to help us out. Kitchen was easy to prepare meals, lots of extras available to spice up the meals. Small but mighty shower! Great home base for exploring the Paradise side of Mt. Rainer.
The host was nice and responded quickly. The cabin was amazing. She had everything we needed for our stay towels for the hot tub and slides, working kitchen with all the cooking utensils. The couch was awesome and the bed was comfortable. She had a heat pump system and the fireplace. We ended up picking up some fire logs and put my boyfriend’s skills to the test. Will be recommending to others for a cozy getaway. Beyond all the amazing trails and sites to see Debbie made the cabin a hundred percent worth the trip out here by its self.
We enjoyed our stay! Very quiet and comfortable cabin that was just perfect for our purpose. It was close to Mt Rainier and was very relaxing after a long day of hiking.
This cabin stay was delightful! Our cabin felt private, even with multiple cabins on the property. Check-in was simple as can be and communication with the host was easy. A perfect place for stargazing too!
It was practical for our stay near Mt. Rainier. It had everything we needed and in a good location for our needs. The hot tub was an excellent amenity especially after long days of difficult hikes. It could use a nicer mattress on the bed, thicker and softer, but I’m an achy mattress snob so it might be fine for you. I would return to this rental though. It was quiet for the most part, we rarely heard anyone else.
We enjoyed our stay at The Cedar Cabin. It was a tranquil location and the perfect place for us when we visited Mt. Rainier National Park. It is about 20 minutes from the entrance and we never waited in line entering the park on this side. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay and was quite comfortable. We used the hot tub and it was really clean. There were a lot of bugs around the cabin (to be expected); however, there were also a lot inside, which was the only thing that took away from our experience. Overall, it was a great stay and a good location for a visit to MRNP!
We stayed a couple of nights and really enjoyed our getaway from the city. Although there are many hiking opportunities, we only went out once because of the rain and enjoyed the hot tub and coziness of the cabin to cook and relax. Debbie was great responding to any questions and concerns we had and we had a lovely time. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise.
The cabin is perfect. It was clean, well stocked and they thought of everything. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We saw elk right out our cabin window. We took some day trips, since the cabin is in such a great location. We hope to come back again.

About the host
Hosted by Debbie Reisert
We brought the property in 1979 and raised our three kids here. We later decided that with our close connection to nature and proximity to two magnificent volcanic mountains, we needed to share our piece of paradise. Moon Mountain is the result of many loving hearts and talents that shared our vision for a place-away. Our intention was to create a place where people could explore all the beauty and multitude of outdoor activities and come back "home". Moon Mountain is a pet-friendly, family-friendly eco-tourist's dream retreat.
We have always committed to being the best stewards of the land possible. We nurture the land and continue to share it with the resident wildlife. We have NEVER used pesticides in 40 years of ownership! Our cabins were both salvaged from another location and restored. The farmhouse was built in the 1940's and has been updated to reflect our commitment to restoration.
Our green practices include FSC certified flooring, zero-VOC paints, low-flow toilets, energy-efficient appliances, all natural cleaning products, recycling, and refillable toiletries.
Our guests often comment that this place is special.
