About this space
Hidden gem in the hills of Lawrence County. Easily accessible to Bedford, Bloomington, NSWC Crane, IU, Spring Mill State Park and Lake Monroe. 2Bd/2Ba and an open loft bedroom. Master retreat on the main. Huge family room with cathedral ceilings and dining for 6. Relax by the fire pit or grab a cup of coffee and enjoy rocking on the covered front porch.
Nature lovers dream! 15 minutes from major restaurants and grocery stores and a Dollar General is located 2 miles away. Owner located on adjacent property.
The space
The cottage is located on a paved road with easy access to state highway and located in a park like setting. Home is surrounded by fields and woods. You may encounter wildlife such as deer, fox, opossums, turkeys , raccoons etc. , it’s a nature lover’s paradise. The inside of the house has a cabin type feel. There are three outside areas to relax on; deck from master suite, front porch and screened in back porch.
Guest access
All areas of the home except small owners closet and furnace room. Detached garage is not accessible.
Other things to note
To accommodate our guests with allergies, NO PETS are allowed. Smoking is allowed around fire pit area only , not in the house or surrounding porches.
In addition to a water softener this house has a water filtering system located next to kitchen faucet. Great for coffee, cooking etc.

Fireplaces are not available at this time.

Relaxing Stay After an IU Football Game

Fantastic stay and a wonderful property! We were looking for a quiet relaxing property outside of Bloomington to wind down after a IU football game and enjoy the quiet countryside and we found it. The property was immaculate and full of amenities. The well stocked fire pit was also great fun on a fall evening! Highly recommend!

Perfect cottage

The best setting for a fall getaway. Everything has been carefully thought out at this cottage. Just open the door and relax! The corn hole and fire pit to the multiple porches to sit on. This place is amazing. Everything you need is there. Great place!

Wonderful Stay and Fantastic Property!

This place has everything you will need. Every detail has been carefully thought out. The cottage is clean and amazing. Lots of sitting areas, games and just the best tucked away location you can imagine. The trails were amazing and well kept. The wildlife was cool. We saw two deer sparring!! We have already booked our next stay! :)

This is a beautiful area to host in. The home is surrounded with fields and woods and wild life , I think it’s truly beautiful .

What makes this property unique

Driving up to house on the blacktop drive is like driving into a park. You will have privacy but still close to a nearby convenience store and restaurant.
