Great Location

Just minutes from Asheville to the south and Weaverville to the north, a great location. Very comfortable and clean, beautiful deck for having breakfast or a glass of wine looking at the stars. We really enjoyed our stay.

One week is not enough to enjoy everything the area has to offer.

Conveniently located with nice grocery stores, a variety of places to eat and a short drive to Asheville.

So peaceful!!!

This is such a cute little cabin that was absolutely perfect for a couple with our fur baby. We found it to be peaceful and so relaxing!! The kitchen was set up perfectly to cook a meal and a grocery store was only a short ride away. Just about everything we needed was found within reach and it was nice to have the washer and dryer there as well. The host was right on point with recommendations and was very friendly in our interactions. We really enjoyed seeing Sadie each day as well.

Relaxing getaway

Overall, I really enjoyed my week stay. It wasn’t as remote as I thought it would be but that didn’t dampen the stay. Just be aware there are houses all around you and the owner is on the same property. The house was really cute and comfortable. Bed was squeaky but very comfortable. The gas stove in living room was awesome. Kept me nice and toasty. Kitchen was fully functional with pots, pans, etc. Nice and easy to get to great restaurants and all parts of Asheville. Owner provides tons of tourist pamphlets about the area. Although I didn’t use it, there is a washer and dryer. Perfect stay for solo travel or couple. Definitely will stay there again.

Nice secluded stay

This was a good stay and great location. Quick to both Weaverville and into North Asheville with a close interstate exit off of I-26. I was a little concerned about the portable air conditioner setup on the hottest days of the summer, but it worked well. It has a good stock of essential items, everything we needed in the kitchen, and you could tell the owner put effort into the property. I think the people who don’t like this didn’t understand what they were booking. This is a 75+ year old cabin that has been renovated and cared for. There’s still things about it that are akin to a 75 year old mountain cabin. The ceiling height in the shower is right at six feet and it’s up a little gravel mountain driveway.

Easy, quiet & relaxed

This was a perfect place to lay our heads for a week. Rebecca met us at the door when we arrived and also checked in a couple times to make sure all was well. We cooked a fair amount and had all the cooking utensils we needed. The location was very convenient and easy to find and communication with Rebecca was flawless and almost instantaneous. My only note is the furniture isn't super comfy to lounge around in. Outside of the bed, the only furniture is a very small loveseat and a chair. We're not the type to go out at night so staying in and relaxing to watch a movie was a bit of a challenge. It turned out to be more comfortable laying on our camping pads on the floor than it was to sit up in a chair for two hours. Not a complaint just something to note if you're the type of person who wants to sprawl out.

Cute cabin

Going from the paved road to the cabin took some driving skill as the road is curvy, unpaved (does have large gravel), bumpy, single lane, closely surrounded by trees and brush. The house exterior and interior were very appealing and nicely decorated. The living room was spacious and had a propane faux wood fireplace stove and there was a fireplace looking heater for the bedroom. Both were used as it was a bit chilly two of the mornings we were there. Bedroom was large and had a dresser for clothes along with a very large closet which also housed the washer and dryer. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with dishes, silverware, glasses, pots, etc. There was a dishwasher too. There was even some spices, sugar, coffee, and the like that you could use along with some refrigerated condiments. The bathroom was small but hot water was quickly available as the water heater was located right next to the bathroom. The property is in a good location for getting around the Ashville area. The downfalls, which were why I gave 4 stars to some of the ratings, were the road to the cabin, the uncomfortable couch, and because I am such a neat freak...there were some cobwebs. The owner, Rebecca, is very personable and was quick to come to our aid when we had a problem with the pilot light on the log heater.

Rebecca's cabin is in a serene forested area, yet still close enough to anything Asheville to be the perfect place for rest and relaxation after hiking or sight-seeing. Rebecca has taken care of little details like plush towels, a cozy bed, kitchen tools, and outdoor furniture to make for a comfy get-away spot, and she is a pleasant, helpful hostess! We highly recommend this cabin and plan to return in the future!

Just Perfect

Our stay couldn’t have been better. The cabin was comfy and cozy, and it had everything we needed. It felt like we were in the woods, but we were just minutes from downtown. Rebecca left all the info we needed, and messaged us just to check in. She was available if we needed her. I didn’t want to go back to home and work and responsibilities after having such a relaxing week away.

A cozy, charming, hidden gem in the woods of north Asheville

The cabin is so cozy, so cute, so romantic and private. My wife and I loved our little getaway in the hills above Weaverville road. Great location, minutes from downtown Asheville and charming Weaverville. Rebecca is a great host who had the cabin very clean and ready for us. She stayed in touch while allowing us privacy. The place is small for sure but it has everting you need for a quiet Asheville stay.Support Asheville, stay here, we will again for sure!

I live in the 100 yr old Log Cabin at the front of the 1 acre property. Our land is filled w blooming trees ,bushes and flowers from March till October. I have lovely organic flowers and vegetable garden surrounding the cabin. I am glass artist and an urban bee keeper.

Why they chose this property

Located, only 6 miles from Downtown Asheville and minutes to Weaverville. So sweet. A rare opportunity to glimpse an artist lifestyle. The propery is filled w flowers and gardens,a pond ,mature trees, oaks, dogwoods, redbuds. Medicinal garden includes solumans seal ,trilliums, comfrey ,Motherwort and borage.
I have an apiary( bee temple) at the lower end of the property- our bees are out of site but, you are welcome to walk over to the properties edge and come sit and observe them.
It's a mountain retreat , so enchanting you may even glimpse a Farie from the corner of your eye.

The YMCA and Beaver Lake are close by for a workout or walk. Grocery stores with in 3 miles. Stoney Knob Restaurant,Bavarian Restaurant and Thirsy Monk are within 2 miles and downtown Asheville is only a 10 minute drive.

What makes this property unique

Unique 75 year old cabin in the woods. Cosy, charming and quirky. Comfortably outfitted w luscious queen sized bed and fully stocked kitchen . There is a Deck on the back of the cabin and garden for morning coffee or sunset glass of beer or wine.
Gas log stove adds charm, romance and warmth.
Brimming w artwork. It is both peaceful and quiet.

NOTE: The road is a little bumpy and walkway is a little uneven and the charm is unequivocal
Note: The cabin is in the woods. We get spider webs ,mosquitoes ,mice in the winter, wild turkeys in the yard and an occasional bear.
If you are super fussy then we are not for you
