Our family of 11 enjoyed our stay at Acadia Retreat! Nice quiet area! 25 minutes to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Mengruo and Michael responded very promptly to any questions that I had.

Family vacation to Maine with 10 adults. The house isn’t far from Bar Harbor and hiking trails. We enjoyed exploring Sands Beach, Thunder hole, Cadillac Mountain and Jordan pond. We also loved Beech Mountain, Ships Harbor, the Seawall, Compass Cove, and Schooners Head Path. There is also plenty of shopping in Bar Harbor also.The home was big enough to accommodate our large group. Each couple had their own bedroom and the 3 bathrooms were a plus. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. They provided plenty of towels, and toiletries. The fire pit with large enough to accommodate all of us to sit comfortably and there was plenty of firewood for our stay. The kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs. A huge thank you to the property owner for providing us with a house manual ahead of time which was very helpful. She gave us tips for what to bring for our family pet, and where to fine the wood for the fire pit and charcoal grill. She was easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had quickly. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Ellsworth.

The house was wonderfully isolated. We had great fires at night, and the stars were beautiful. We had a flock of thirty or more turkeys walk through the front yard. The house is old but has been updated nicely. We had easy access to grocery stores, and the Acadia NP is not too far away.We had a wonderful time with our trip to Maine, and have no complaints at all with where we stayed in the night.

Loved it

We were 10 of us and everyone enjoyed the beautiful well equipped house ! Just 25 minutes to Acadia and bar harbor, clean, great back yard , fire pit, kitchen with all spices and utensils... there is nothing that we could not find ! Absolutely will go here again

The location was amazingly close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The house is situated on a private dirt road with almost no traffic. There is Super Walmart located less than 5 minutes away for all your forgotten necessities and easy foos shopping. Plenty of cooking appliances and deck space for enjoying the outdoors. Pine trees out every window and air conditioning in 4 out of 5 bedrooms with three full baths. It was a great house for a family of 8 adults and would return in a heartbeat.

This house worked well for our family. The only drawback I can think of is there was three bedrooms upstairs that shared one bath. Seems fine for a family, but maybe not several couples.The location was great. 20 minutes to Acadia national Park and less than 30 minutes to Bar Harbor grocery stores close by for any of your needs.

Visiting Acadia National Park area for first time and arriving May 24 ended up being ideal as trees/flowers were just blooming and travels to and from park areas was simple without tie-ups or delays! This neighborhood is peaceful. The house served my group of 7 beautifully. Each of the 4 adults had their own room! Fire pit area in the back is ideal and private. I hope we are able to return in a few years and do the fun stuff we missed and some new activities the older kids will be able to do.
