About this property
Retro tri-split-level family home, outstanding views, large pool: Albury Wodonga
Step back in time in this 1970s Nicholas Day (Australian Architect) designed home. Located at the top of a hill with spanning views of Albury Wodonga and sunsets every night. Mid-century furnishings including a wood fireplace, vintage art and record player.
Sleeps 9 people with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 lounge spaces, kitchen, dining space for 10, laundry, balcony with Weber Q BBQ and a 12mtr inground pool !!!
This property is located on a steep driveway descend and is across 3 floors - so lots of stairs.
There's central heating, a wood fireplace in the lounge and evaporative cooling.
Situated in Wodonga, in a quiet neighbourhood with a nature reserve opposite, often frequented by kangaroos. Native bird life is plentiful from King Parrots, Rosella's and Galah's ... to name a few ... which will help you wile away lazy days on the balcony.
There's a shopping centre only a 2min drive away and a local park. Parking spot available at top of property and on the street.
Albury Wodonga is a great central point between Melbourne and Sydney, being a large Regional Vic / NSW border town, with plenty to do and see, including the great Murray River. Otherwise many other great towns to visit, from the wineries in Rutherglen, the beautiful sights of Beechworth, the spectacular Bright ... or pay a visit to the snowfields - Mt Hotham or Falls Creek ... all within easy driving distance.
This house is truly unique, with its lodge feel, just settle back and enjoy the simple things in life.
Please Note:
× No access to garage, locked store room, 1 deck, locked cupboard and boat.
× The ceilings to some of the rooms upstairs (bedroom 3, bathroom and powder room) features partially exposed ceiling - facing the cathedral ceiling in the hallway (see last photos).
× The pool is not heated.
× Outdoor security cameras in operation. These are present to ensure safety of the home is maintained. They are not monitored once guests have checked-in.
× This property is not suitable for children under 2 and people with mobility issues, given the amount of stairs and steep driveway.
× The property is a true 1970s home with original fixtures and fittings - so no mod con features here.
× This house is not a serviced property.
