Beachy Getaway Near Newport & Beaches

This townhouse provides two levels of living, great for big or small groups (up to 8 adults over 12yo max). Less than a mile to the beach and 2.5 miles to downtown Newport. The apartment is the first floor unit of a two-family building that enters at ground level and includes 4-bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 living spaces, and outdoor space to enjoy. The layout includes a full kitchen with dining space plus two bedrooms on the first level. Both bedrooms walk out to the backyard through sliding doors and have connecting bathrooms, one of which is accessible from the hallway for common use. Downstairs is the living room with queen bed sofa pullout, two additional bedrooms, and a shared bath. Laundry is also accessible for guest use on the lower level. The unit is well-equipped with a full kitchen, cooking/grilling essentials, basic soaps and cleaners, games, beach towels and chairs, coffee (drip & keurig), and more!


Each unit has a private entrance, parking area, and separate outdoor space for grilling, dining, and enjoying the fire pit. This is a residential neighborhood so we as that you keep voices and music low after 10pm and until 8am. We prohibit large gatherings our of respect for the neighbors and other occupants in unit 2.

This was such an amazing home to stay in. Communication with the host was better than I have ever experienced. I was there for a girls weekend away and there was 4 of us. The location was perfect, there was a cozy deck with a lawn area with a fire pit and the entire house was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable too! It was so nice to have a room for each of us and plenty of bathrooms. The only thing to note is that there is no living area/room upstairs...it is downstairs near 2 of the bedrooms so keep that in mind. It did not bother us because we spent the majority of our time outside. We will 100% be back again!!

Nice spot!

We stayed here for a family reunion held in Newport so we can’t comment on access to beaches. The location was perfect for us, out of the fray of Newport in the summer. The house was very clean, nicely decorated but the layout is a bit odd. The entry leads to the kitchen and dining area. Two nice bedrooms and two baths are also on this ground floor. There is a really nice deck and patio but to reach it you have to go through one of the bedrooms, or walk around the house. For us, that was fine, but it might be awkward for couples staying at the house. The other layout issue is that the living room and TV is downstairs. Again, may not be an issue for others but with a full house, it doesn’t provide a hanging out area near the kitchen and away from bedrooms. All in all, it was perfect for what we needed.

I realize that trying to promote a rental property by enhancing photos to make it look larger is a common practice. Therefore, I expected the living space to be somewhat smaller than photographed. This dwelling was far smaller that I imagined. That being said, the beds were not only poor quality, they were small and uncomfortable. There was only one night table in the bedrooms that could have easily had two. Poor lighting throughout the entire house. There was no common space on the main floor allowing for family get-togethers. Very disappointing. The common room was in the basement (labeled by us as the dungeon); no windows with a funking looking sofa bed and very uncomfortable chairs. We had 2 seniors (80 yrs old) who could not go into the basement because the stairs leading to the basement were steep and narrow. The dining area had a long wooden table with very uncomfortable wooden chairs with no seat cushions. The dwelling decor was stark and had no sense or feeling of warmth and comfort. There was no shelving space to put away groceries; the kitchen could only have one person at a time for food prep. Two people were getting in the way of each other. The showers had no grab bars which is a huge safety factor in my opinion even for younger people. we had 7 adult family members. This "beachy getaway" was a nightmare. We had to move chairs from the basement to the main floor in the dining room so we could have family time. This place was over-priced for what was offered.
