The Minns Cottage is conveniently located one mile to George Town. You are less than 10 minutes' walk away from the food stores, liquor stores and restaurants. The water taxis can take you over to Stocking Island, they leave from the Government dock which is in George Town.
The Cottages are located across from the beach. The cottage has a queen size bed, bath/shower, lounge and fully equipped kitchen, you have a door from the cottage directly into the Communal laundry room
ALL COTTAGES HAVE ENCLOSED SCREENED PATIOS, FREE WIFI INCLUDED, COMMUNAL LAUNDRY ROOM AND PROPANE BBQ.
It is 15 minutes' drive East of the International Airport (GGT), the cottages are situated in a beautiful grassy lawn, fenced with a stone wall around the property, overlooking the picturesque Elizabeth Harbour and Stocking Island.

There are many direct flights from Toronto 3 hours, Miami 1 hour, Fort Lauderdale 1 hour 45 minutes also you can fly into Nassau and get here in 45 minutes and enjoy the carefree living on the Island gem called Exuma.

We do have beach chairs, beach umbrellas, coolers and beach towels.

Clean and quiet near Georgetown

My husband and I had a great long weekend at Minn's Cottages. Our cottage was simple and clean with a large screen porch. We had everything we needed including plenty of towels and beach chaors. It was an easy walk into town to pick up our rented boat. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect Getaway!

Monica's place was amazing! Beach with great snorkeling right across the street. We usually had the beach to ourselves also. A car does help explore the island but we went several days without one. The cottage was a short walk (10 minutes maybe) to downtown George Town in one direction & Fish Fry (a collection of small restaurants/ bars) the other direction. The cottage was clean & comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Minns Cottages was a great place to stay in Exuma. It is located in the middle of the island, making places in either the north or south easy to access. The kitchen and living room provide plenty of space. Monica is always available if assistance is needed and even helped us when we needed to check out late. Would recommend Minns Cottages. Wpuld definitely stay here in future. :)

Convenient location

We have stayed at Plumbago Cottage part of Minns Cottages several times and it is a simple but comfortable island style little cottage for a couple. It has a wonderful screen porch and is kept cool with breezes off Elizabeth Harbor. The view of the harbor is limited through the trees. It’s only 5 minutes by car into Georgetown for grocery shopping, restaurants, the straw market, couple tourist shops, Minns Water Sports for boat rentals and water taxis over to Stocking Island. Also short 10-15 min drive north for more restaurants and grocery stores in “Hotel district” and Hoopers Bay Area. Hoopers Bay has a beach access and we recommend walking it down toward the docks and snorkeling with the green sea turtles there right off this beautiful beach. You can walk right across the road from Minns Cottages to another coconut lined beach and snorkel out to a pretty fairly shallow reef (high tide is best) and see lots of fish. This reef is located off the rocky point at end of the beach.

Minns Cottages are located just a 15 min. walk south into Georgetown where several restaurants, two grocery stores, boat rental, water taxis to Stocking Island, gift shops and the strawmarket are located. Walking north you can reach restaurants located in the hotel district and fish fry area. This is a big plus as you don't have to rent a car except when you want to tour the island. From the cottages you have a beautiful view of Elizabeth Harbor and over to Stocking Island. Taking a water taxi over to Stocking is a wonderful way to spend the day. The beaches and water are outstanding and there are two restaurants available. Right across the road from the cottages you can walk to a pretty coconut lined small beach. Very convenient for swimming or snorkeling off the point on a small reef. We have visited Great Exuma many times and if you want a low key island vacation with lots of natural beauty we would highly recommend it. Mines cottages are clean, comfortable and convenient. Monica Minns is very efficient and helpful.

Great Experience at Minns Cottages

Had a wonderful vacation at Minns Cottages. The entire property is just breath taking and the beach directly across the street is absolutely beautiful with wonderful places to swim and snorkel. The cottages are all stocked with everything you need and the family is fantastic. Would highly recommend staying at any of their cottages. You will not be dissappointed!

We had a wonderful time in Plumbago Cottage. Monica was welcoming and helpful. It was clean and well furnished. A great central location from which we explored the island. We especially loved the screen porch to look out on Elizabeth Harbor. Exuma is a safe and friendly island.

Quaint Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Minns Cottage. It is a quaint. There is a beautiful view of the sound from the porch. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the porch each morning. It was really nice that the cottage had wifi. We were able to use Wifi calling which was free during our stay. Monica was great. I would highly recommend staying here. It was a very short walk into town for groceries and boats at Minns Watersports. The best snorkeling spot while we were in Georgetown was across the street from the cottages.

We just spent two weeks at Plumbago bee had an excellent time on Exuma which was made even better by our accommodations at Minn”s Cottages. We stayed at Plumbago. The cottage was clean and well stocked with dishes, towels, beach chairs etc. On our 3 rd day out coffee maker stopped working. I emailed Monica and she had replaced it with a new one within 2 hours. Monica is friendly, Professional and really cares that her guests enjoy their stay. Thank you for a great two weeks Monica. We will not hesitate to recommend Minn”s Cottages.

Comfortable with convenient location

Spent 2 wonderful weeks at Minns Cottages. We stayed in the "Plumbago" cottage which is at the back of the property. If you are a person who likes 4 star resort type accommodations, this is not the place for you. However, if you enjoy staying in a small simple island style cottage, this is the perfect spot! It has one bedroom and is set up for a couple. The best thing about this cottage is it's screen porch with two Adirondack chairs, tables and a couple nice padded benches to lounge on. From here you have a partial view of Elizabeth Harbor and enjoy the breezes coming off the water. We really enjoyed all the original island artwork in the cottage and it's comfortable furniture for lounging about. The laundry for the 3 other cottages on the property is located at the back of "Plumbago" so it's very accessible. Minns Cottages is within a 10 - 15 minute walk to anything in town: grocery store, restaurants, gift shops, straw market, water taxis over to Stocking Island etc. The walk is along a narrow shoulder with no sidewalks on a busy road but good views of the harbor as you walk along. There is a nice beach right across the road from the cottages with shallow waters. Out from the point there is a nice small shallow reef (Student Reef) with a buoy marking it. You can easily snorkel out there from the far end of the beach. Esther Butler the property manager is an exceptional person. She is very organized and friendly. She is most helpful and an excellent source of local knowledge.

Wonderful cottage in great location!

I stayed in one of the Ixora cottages and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The apartment has everything you need for cooking and just relaxing on the porch and reading a good book. Something I spent a lot of time doing. There is a small beach just across the road from the cottages. It is wonderful and we were always there on our own. Esther and Travis were wonderful to us when we arrived and throughout our stay. I couldn't have asked for more from them. The location is great with a short walk into town where there are shops and restaurants with everything you need. The people of Exuma are absolutely wonderful and I'll be back again. Hopefully next time with more people to rent the adjoining cottage. I felt so safe and loved my vacation in Exuma. I'd recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. Only thing I can say negative is the kitchen sink water pressure isn't great but if you use the handheld sprayer instead of the tap it works just fine! My boyfriend didn't like the bed. I had no issues but I think he likes a firmer mattress. Thanks Esther for all your help! Jess

Clean and Comfy in Paradise

Minn's Cottages are a perfect location on Great Exuma. We stayed in the Ixora east cottage, which was very clean, roomy, and had all of the required amenities, and then some. The cottage is sufficiently private, and has a large screened in patio facing Elizabeth Harbor which provides for spectacular views all day long. So clean, fresh and comfortable, felt like home. Georgetown is a hop-and-a-skip to numerous restaurants, bars and markets where one can pick up all kinds of provisions required for a comfortable stay. The property manager, Esther, with whom we were in frequent contact, from our early planning stages to our departure, was top notch in taking care of us. She was always readily available and truly a pleasure to chat with. The cottages are also a short and pleasant walking distance to beautiful beaches and Fish Fry eateries. We can't say enough about the locals. Always friendly, smiling, and chockful of interesting stories. Renting a runabout boat from Minn's Water Sports is very, very highly recommended. There’s no better way to explore some of the most beautiful secluded beaches in Elizabeth Harbor, experiencing the blinding emerald blue waters, snorkeling thru numerous coral reefs and hanging out at Chatχll’s on Stocking Island. We highly recommend Minns cottages, and want to thank you, Esther, for enhancing our stay and ensuring our comfort. We will be back, but this time with family members & friends in tow... Tranquil paradise

This is the first time on the Island. The house is just perfect for two. So nice having your own space compared to a hotel. Very comfortable and a general good feeling. The screen porch was used every night. Very close to the market, fish fry and anything else you may need. It was nice to BBQ at home a couple of times. when they say you may only see two other people on the beach, they actually meant it. Thank you to Esther and Travis. They we're amazing from start to finish. Emails before we arrived. What to expect, places to check out. Courteous friendly people. Tropic of Cancer Beach and Santana's beach restaurant is a must. The30-40 drive is well worth it. I would recommend renting a car. Thank you again!! XO

blissful paradise

My husband and I just spent a week at this perfect couples hideaway. first time on the Island and cant wait to come Back. we've been to many Islands, thou none as friendly as this. the cottage is perfect for a couple. the main living area is open concept with high ceilings. Nice size bathroom and the bed was super comfy. lots of towels and sheets. my favorite was the screen porch. different comfortable chairs to sit and watch the waves roll right in front of you. did i mention the color of the water?? outstanding!!Thank you Esther and Travis who were so helpful and friendly. even before arriving Esther filled me in on restaurants, beaches and tours to keep us busy. we always felt safe and enjoyed going to the fishfry, driving to Little Exuma where we went to Tropic of Cancer beach, ate at Santana's and Mom's bakery. Had a drink at Wayside liquors. cant beat the price of this home. we carefully compared prices and locations. Thank you again for the trip of a lifetime!

Perfect cottage near the beach and town

The cottage (Plumbago) looks exactly as the pictures. Clean and with great service from Ester Butler or Travis if you have any questions. Also great to have your own house so can cook if you want to. Was there with my 7 year old so brilliant that there's a small beach just opposite the road. Takes less than 10 minutes to walk to town or to the Fish Fry shacks. I can certainly recommend Exuma! Great to go to Stocking Islands and feed the stingrays or go on a boattrip and see e.g. the turtles, iguanes and swimming pigs. Ofcourse if you go without children there's beautiful scuba diving.

Bahamas dream vacation!!

My wife and I spent our 7 year anniversary in the Bahamas (Exuma).at the Minn's Cottages. What a beautiful place!! The cottage was very clean and had a full kitchen, which we really appreciate. We had a screened in porch on our unit which had a spectacular view of the Exuma costline. At night we would walk out by the water, beautiful!!! Exuma has a great little village with lots of shops. My wife really enjoyed browsing . You can rent a boat if you like and there were qaint restaurants scattered around town. One main grocery store where you can find what you need. The Minn's family are wonderful people, very cordial and accomidating. We had a great time and highly recommend the Minn's Cottages. We will be back!!
