The inside of the house could use a little updating. The outside was messy due to rain and leaking from the gutters and the gas grill needed clean was not usable

Terrible stay. Property not as described, and not as clean as expected. Definitely not in a private area like we expected. Lots of fees that were non-refundable. If the property would have been excellent, the fees would have been acceptable, but this was not the case. Messy neighbors who were very close to the property. Only 3 snacks which were outdated. Extremely low water pressure in both showers and kitchen faucet, which made showering difficult. Ratings for this property were highly overrated and incorrect. However, host answered questions timely. A very disappointing stay and we regret staying here. Will definitely not use this property on our next trip this spring.
The positives:The place was in a great location, away from the busyness of the attractions, but just a few minutes' drive to get there. The decor was super cute, as pictured in the listing. Very modern farmhouse! The negatives:The floor of the house isn't level, so most of the doors don't close correctly. Laminate floor is also loose in many spots due to this.Communication was good if I initiated it. Host was great about answering questions! However, there was no instruction on using anything in the house. The exception was wifi. That was clearly posted! We couldn't find the outdoor trash container, and we had to ask what needed to be done before checking out.Immediately upon arriving, my son slipped on the mossy stepping stones and scraped up his knee in the gravel. Thankfully, there was a stocked first aid kit in the house! The biggest issue for us was the lack of cleanliness. I was appalled to find an envelope asking for a tip for the cleaning crew. I knew there was a cleaning fee included in my booking, and this really upset me when we started settling in and found the following:The house smelled musty, and there were drain flies, both dead and alive. Crumbs on the table and counter, sticky rings on the plastic placemats, toothpaste splatters on the bathroom mirrors, greasy spots on the bedside table, and dark fuzzies in the sheets on the queen bed. It was clear the cleaners hadn't been thorough in getting it ready for new guests.
