Outstanding location

We enjoyed the house very much. It was a family vacation and everyone had a good time. The location is beautiful- right on the water where we enjoyed both beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The layout of the house was also very good.

Great stay with beautiful view

Loved our home away from home so much! The owner was responsive and helpful. The home had a beautiful view and doc to swim/kayak right out! Enjoyed coffee out on the deck daily! The beds could have been a little more comfortable/larger for some guests to sleep better. Overall we enjoyed our stay!!

Amazing place for value

Wake up to beautiful views and the serenity everyone is searching for. A group of sailors came in for the regatta and stayed here and they loved it! Perfect for a larger group of people who want a bit of a getaway from the rustle and bustle. Not to mention they have everything you need. Would highly recommend.

Wow! What an amazing place. We loved staying at Three Little Birds. We kayaked, swam and hung out on the porch. The weather was perfect. The view was beautiful. The guest book at the house had awesome recommendations for restaurants and activities. Paradise.

Perfect family vacation

The property is really very nice. The house is quite large, perfect for medium or large family. It is on the water, and sandbar is either short kayak (which is included) ride or you can even walk there. Literally a paradise. We loved it so much, so we are looking to return there next year. The owner, Tony, was very responsive and took care of the issues we experienced (kayaks were inoperable). Overall, we were very satisfied! Thank you, Tony!

Excellent stay!

Three Little Birds was the perfect house for our friends vacation of 8 adults. With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with showers, there was plenty of space for everyone! The location is secluded but only a short drive to Georgetown. The views from the house are unbeatable. We floated and snorkeled every day right there at the house. Communication with Tony was fast and simple. Highly recommend this house for anyone looking for the perfect vacation!

Perfect!!!

Three Little Birds was more than we could ever ask for! It was perfect, from the amount of space, the cleanliness, and the proximity to the ocean. Nothing beats staying here! The view is just breathtaking, and it’s so nice to have kayaks available and a sun tanning area and little dock all to ourselves! The flats were so calm and perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, fishing. We felt like we had our own private piece of Exuma

Relaxing waterfront retreat

Morning coffee on the varanda in the sea breeze after a wake up swim or paddle. The best outdoor shower to freshen up before exploring the island and all its charm. Perfectly positioned to see it all.... or get into Georgetown for shopping. Wonderful days exploring and magical days resting. Dreaming of our return one day. Can't wait to get back. Many thanks.

Perfect Week at Three Little Birds

We just returned from a perfect week at Three Little Birds! The house is ideal in every way, and the views are incredible. The space is large and breezy, and the water access in the front was wonderful. We cooked most meals at home, and found the kitchen well equipped. The large, open layout was great. The covered porch functioned as our second living space, and we were in and out of the water all day. There is a handy outdoor shower right off the front steps. Our one suggestion would be to rent a car that has decent clearance, as the road in is rough in sections (this is normal in the islands). We had a Honda CR-V and had no difficulty. The house is terrific, Tony (the owner) is a quick, helpful communicator, and we are already looking forward to a return trip! It was painful to pack our bags and leave.

Holidays in paradise

The house has everything you need. It's very comfortable. We were 3 matrimonies and a single person, each of us with their own bedroom and 3 bathrooms. Everything was clean. The shore is rocky without sand, not deep, and the color of the water is incredible. Outside the house there's another shower very useful, to use when you go out of the sea. The only thing is that the road to the house it's very rocky, and there are big holes, but it's worth the efford. You just need to drive slowly. This makes the house to be very private and peaceful. The nearest market it's 15 minutes away by car. Thanks for everything Tony.

Family vacation

We loved this house!! The property was perfect with a large wrap around deck for meals, games, lounging and lower deck with water access for sunbathing, swimming, fishing, snorkeling and kayaking. The outdoor shower was a nice bonus! The home itself had plenty of space, air conditioning (you don’t want to be without AC) and we all had our own bathrooms. We enjoyed the local Exuma sights and tours, and also stayed back at the house every other day. We played games, watched movies, read books, had cookouts and basically relaxed in the warm breezes. A word of advice on driving in Exuma, watch out for the potholes and consider renting a car with more ground clearance. We had a small economy car but bottomed out many times on the roads off the main highway. Regardless, it was a beautiful place that we look forward to visiting again! Thank you Tony!

Island Time

Wonderful 6 night stay at Three Little Birds with family and friends. Location was ideal, views were incredible, water was perfect as we relaxed on Island time. We had a Ford Explore which handled off main road commute to house and beaches. Kayaking daily brought home new sights and adventure stories. Walking to near by islands at low tide found beauty and water aerobics worth the burn. Exploring south found The Salt Marker and beauty of Tropic of Cancer Beach. Must take items, sunscreen, beach towels, bug spay, pack dry good foods, coffee, creamer, crackers, power bars, gatorade, soaps, shampoos, best grocery on the hill, great meats a deli near airport, best restaurants north of town by Shirley's shack. Bring all cash for ease and no extra charges. All casual clothes for this island. You will wear yourself out doing day activities so nightlife is a time of rest and reflection. We are coming back!

Family Vacation

We loved our stay at 3 Little Birds! We were a multigenerational family of 8 and the house worked great for all of us. Lots of space for us to gather in the common area and table large enough for us to enjoy meals together. We cooked most meals at the house and found the kitchen large and well appointed. The bedrooms are large and 3 bathrooms was great for a large group. Our only complaint would be the beds and pillows were not comfortable. The water view and access at the house was amazing. We enjoyed swimming, floating, snorkeling and sea kayaking from the deck. All toys for these activities are at the house as well as coolers for our picnic lunches we packed for our beach days. We saw some breathtaking sunsets from the deck. The no-see-ums were an issue at dusk but they are everywhere on the island not just at this house! The road to the house, like all roads on Exuma other than the main highway, is really rough so take your time driving in and out. A rental car is a must to see the many beautiful beaches on the island of Exuma! Our favourite beaches are Tropic of Cancer, Forbes Hill, Pretty Molly Bay, Hoopers Bay and Coco Plum. Thank you for letting us enjoy your piece of paradise. It was hard to leave!

Exuma Blues

I am back in Ohio and I have a bad case of Exuma Blues. Wished I could have stayed forever. I cannot say how Wonderful this property is! This is my second trip to the island and the colors are as amazing as I remembered them 30 years ago. How can there be so many shades of blue. Tropical breezes and both Sunrises and Sunsets off the deck. If you are looking for cruise ships, casinos and a lot of shopping - this is not the house for you. The home is not isolated - there are about 10 vacation rentals along this section of Bonefish Flats. Met many of the neighbors - our favorite were Scooby and Bandit that visited at least once a day. It is located in the middle of the island and there are great beaches in both directions. A dozen restaurants. The roads in the subdivision are very rough. We had unusual rains when we were there. The roads were flooded but we had an AWD Rav which made it through everything. There were actually ducks swimming down the Queen's Highway. Just part of the adventure. I stayed for 2 weeks with two groups of family and friends coming down. Never ran out of things to do. There is a good supply of spices, oils, etc. that were left there by previous guests. You can find all the basics in the George Town stores. However, you will pay a few dollars more for items. Pack some food but don't get carried away. Nice selections of books and a deck of cards. Someone left coolers and floating lounges. The four, roomy bedrooms all had double beds. Since my daughter did not want to sleep with her Aunt - she slept on the couch - which was very comfortable. The Tourist Board has a People-to-People volunteer program - where you can meet the local residents and learn about the area. You do need to sign up before you leave. They were great! Tony and Jane - THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

We are 3 Adult couples, all over 60 y/o stayed here from March 9 - 18 2017...The location is what has been described , tough roads getting there but nice spot to travel from and enjoy the great views . We got to the house at approx 330 pm. People wanted to use the bathrooms-NO TOILET PAPER. 3 BATHROOMS-NO TOILET PAPER. In my room, closest to the well pump the shower was heavily dripping water and no lights were working via the switch-had to use one of the table lamps and put it on the flush to use the bathroom ...My wife looked in the refrigerator and worked for approx 20 - 30 minutes looking for cleaner and attempting to clean the refrigerator, especially the freezer ...We find out the next day that 2 of the 3 showers did not work--we saw a man in the street with a dog and asked are you MICK, he said yes, and we explained about the showers and he sent a man over with 2 handfuls of tools and he repaired both - clogged up showerheads with salt ..and he showed me that the shower would not drip if I kept the handle at 6 oclock position rather than the tight position - it worked !! He asked for $50.00 and we said, see Mick .. The 3rd shower in the hallway pumped out great water BUT, due to someone not wanting to fix it properly they circumvented the mixing valve for an on/off valve at the showerhead--so my friend tried it and it came out great, except for the scalding hot temperature..The other ensuite bedroom bathroom had a septic odor after you used it - both people who used it complained about it ..Back to the kitchen >>I never saw it, but my friends described the oven as being very dirty ..The cabinets were very dirty inside and the silverware as you can imagine with salt water in the plumbing pipes were very rusty ...The cooking pans were scratched and chipped- teflon type .. The cabinets were hand made crudely..A lady from down the street came over, and she could not believe what we told her and she saw the condition of the cabinets and showers and especially the non toilet paper...She even told us the minimum toilet paper for renters is 2 rolls per bathroom ..I wrote to the owner, he was very apologetic and explained he rented the house to non VRBO people who were carpenters and they were supposed to set up the house for us ...THEN, he talks to those same people and they denied everything ..Of course they did ! I have rented 2 other times through VRBO and we were delighted with both. I have pics of all our concerns. Choose another place.

Lovely house, spacious living area for family to share with amazing view. Well located 20 minutes from Blue restaurant (expensive but must go) and Tropic of Cancer beach (must go) and 16 minutes Georgetown where market is located. Rooms each equipped with individual AC units. View from house to the sea is breathtaking. Literally your backyard sea, you can walk 2-3 miles (in both low and high tides) to islands right in front. Sunrise and sunset reading, BBQs or just laying on sun chairs is amazing. Kitchen with plenty of cooking tools. Enjoy your stay.

Great location and views. We saw several fish right off the steps in the water, including barracuda and crabs! We had trouble with the living area AC not working and it didn’t get fixed until the last day of our stay. The house could have been a bit cleaner. We had some snacks that were eaten by mice and saw several droppings. Overall a good stay, but the house could have been made more comfortable with some general cleaning and a few more amenities, like extra towels for a weeks stay. Each person was given 1 towel to last the entire week. We had to buy toilet paper and dish soap, too.

Special Family Trip

Three Little Birds is located in an absolute GORGEOUS location on the south side of Exuma! The bumpy ride is well worth it, it's not about the journey, it's the destination! This property is located directly on the Bonefish Flats, you can literally walk from the deck into the water & it's a short trip to a gorgeous sand bar. See sea stars right out the back door, adolescent lemon sharks swim by (harmless, by the way). Having the kayaks to use was amazing & they were used each & every day! Our golden retriever LOVED the kayak! Our flight landed early at 11.20am, we arrived just after 12.00noon, were able to have early check-in, & our teenagers were on the kayaks by 1pm! Josh, the property manager, is amazing. No matter how large or small, he was beyond responsive. We had the windows open most of the time as the breezes off the water were wonderful & the tree cover around the villa keeps the property cool. My family is familiar with the island, we travel to Exuma often & have stayed is a myriad of properties, so we always select mostly based on the outdoor spaces & we utilized the outdoor space of Three Little Birds each & every day. Also, as there is lush vegetation around the villa, there will be 'noseeums', bring your bug spray or baby oil! It is what it is, it's tropical, but it's worth it! We lit citronella candles & it held them at bay! The villa is large & comfy, beds are comfy, plenty of bathrooms, large kitchen. We had a great time during our two-plus week stay! Thnx!

A fun trip

There were many fun things that we did during our stay. We snorkeled right in front of the house and see some white and yellow fish, kayaked unto the sand bar, and saw many fascinating sea creatures, such as corals of different color and shapes, upside down jellyfish (which we initially thought were sea anemones), gigantic sea cucumbers, and cute little starfish. The house is large and comfortable for our family. We should have paid closer attention to the driving instructions about how to get to the house. Exuma may not have all the modern amenities, but it has so much natural beauty to more than make up for it. Overall, a wonderful trip and we are already planning to come back again.

Great views

3 little bird has the best views and spacious interior. When we first arrived there was what seems like a minor snafu (no water bottle waiting) but it was Independence Day for Bahamas and all stores were closed. Josh brought us a bottle within 30 minutes! Super responsive! The House is showing some neglect such as dirty walls, trash littered outside… however the whole island has litter due to no real trash service. pots and pans were dirty and put away so we had to scrub them in order to make meals. As far as a gourmet kitchen, all pots and pans had teflon flaking off and essential utensils like the can opener are super rusty. On the positive, the views are amazing and there’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Beds are fine (not hard) contrary to some reviews. Not the owners fault but a helpful hint for the island and especially bonefish flats are is to Make sure to rent the 4wheel drive as the road to go the last mile or so is very rough and overgrown. We dented a rim, popped a tire, and bottomed out several times in the rental car. It was nice to be in a relaxing, safe, picturesque home to just sit and relax despite some minor adjustments needed.
