Glad you had a great week. It was a crazy hot week. Let me know if you think adding a 5th AC would help, easy to do.
Wonderful, Classic Cape Cod summer home! We stayed there several times over 10yrs ago. Stephan has done a great restoration and update on the house! Our stay was filled with wonderful memories of family stays. It has one of The Best views of Waquoit Bay, with access to the bay and beach. Great communication, cleanliness and well equipped. We most definitely look forward to a future stay!

We had a wonderful stay in Waquoit Bay. This house had everything needed for our family of 5! Beautiful sunsets, we enjoyed swimming in the bay and exploring the Marshes. The owners were very responsive. The house is charming and very comfortable. Thanks for an amazing week.
Stephan was lovely to work with, quick to reply and the gift basket upon arrival was a lovely touch. We are already planning our trip back for next year! Very quaint house, four kayaks, everything you need in the house to cook...all in a beautiful private, setting. Would definitely recommend!
Very private and quiet retreat right on beautiful Waquoit Bay with a wonderful view. Nice thew owner left Kayaks near the waters edge to use. I enjoyed kayaking in the bay and taking pictures of the seabirds and scenery. Cottage was well stocked as well.

Beautiful view
We had never stayed at this area of Cape Cod, so we were pleasantly surprised at the convenience to stores and other amenities. The cottage was clean. But in all honesty the beds or the “mattresses” were akin to a kids camp. They were awful. The owner would do well to invest in a few cost effective ones.

So sorry to read this. Not sure which room your party of 2 slept in. All of the queen mattresses are new, purchased in May 2024. Two are memory foam and one is a standard spring mattress. I wish you had reached out, during your stay, so I could have fixed this for you. I could have brought over a different mattress and would have been happy to do that. Again, I am sorry that the mattress wasn't to your liking. No one has mentioned this before, but we will certainly take a look to improve this.
Best, Steven
Location is gorgeous…view was beautiful! Loved having access to the water and use of kayaks and paddle board. Love the antique charm of the house with many original features (very rustic). Check-in, checkout was great with key pad. A couple of things would have made the stay a bit more enjoyable: beds were not the most comfortable and a previous renter was definitely smoking in one of the bedrooms. Bedding was laundered but you could still smell the smoke. We did need to keep all of our food/snacks in the fridge once we realized there was a mouse (any kitchen item from the pantry needed to be cleaned before using because of the mice). Felt a little bit more like camping than I would have liked.

I hope no one smoked in one of the bedrooms and we'll add a few more smoke detectors. We have many sets of sheets and they are of course fully laundered. Apologies for the mouse and that is a first. I would have been happy to call the exterminator right away, and I'll have them to come in now. Re the beds, They are all brand new. 2 of the 3 queens are the deep gelfoam. Most people really like them but one other couple remarked they didnt love them either. Thank you.
We loved our stay at this cute, comfortable and well stocked cottage! The bedrooms are private with clean linens and individual AC units, which we appreciated in the middle of the summer so much. The kitchen is stocked with both a keurig and a coffee maker, large refrigerator and freezer, clean oven and toaster oven. Plus, there is a washer and dryer which is handy when you have young children with you.
The water is a short walk down to a gorgeous broad view of peaceful Waquoit Bay. Having kayaks accessible was a really nice way to explore the shallow water on a calm day.
Our favorite spot to sit and drink coffee in the morning and wind down after a fun day out was the screened in room. What a wonderful space with a view of the bay and the many osprey!
The owner is very responsive and helpful with questions/messages and they provide nice suggestions for the area. We would absolutely stay at this cottage again when visiting the Cape Cod area and will recommend to others.
