About this property
Cozy Red Cottage on Robinson Pond nestled between the Berkshires and Catskills.
Welcome to our Cozy Red Cottage on Robinson Pond. We are located in the heart of Copake NY, nestled between the Berkshire and Catskills mountains. We are just a few miles away from cafes, restaurants, shopping centers, site seeing, and fun for all ages. This waterfront property allows us to offer the “lake experience” with our dock and variety of small boats. Our home is fully furnished with all the necessities for a comfortable stay and a fully stocked game room for “old school” game night!
Our home is fully furnished with the necessities for a comfortable stay. The entire house has good WiFi coverage, and each room has WiFi extenders to make connections even smoother. We provide clean linens for all beds along with bath, shower, and kitchen towels. There is also a washer and dryer in the basement that you are welcome to use during your stay. Each Bedroom has a mini split with heat and cooling options that can be set individually to suit all preferences.
The front yard allows three vehicles to park off the road, with room for two in the driveway and one parallel to the road. Our front porch has a seating area, which is a lovely spot to watch the sunset. The front door leads you to the first floor, where there is a bedroom with a full size bed and across the hall, a bathroom with a walk in shower. The entryway expands to the kitchen, dining, and living room which follow an open floor plan. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials needed for cooking, baking, and serving. The dining room table can seat six people with two more places at the kitchen counter. The living room has a gas fireplace with a 65” TV including a Blu-Ray DVD player above to watch your favorite shows and movies. Sliders off the living room open to an enclosed screened in porch with an outdoor dining and lounge area. We also have a commercial size grill right outside for all your BBQing needs.
Our second floor has the largest bedroom in the house with a queen size bed and access to a deck above the screened in porch. We have a set of rockers and loungers on the deck, making this a great place to watch the sunrise and get a better view of Robinson Pond. Across the hall is another bedroom with a full size bed and nook with a desk that can be used as a study area. Between the two bedrooms is a bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and shower.
Our finished basement has a game room with a checker board table and a variety of games, puzzles, books and activites for all ages. We have another 65”TV and Blu-Ray DVD player with a lounge area and also a Murphy bed. There is a kids corner with big colorful bean bag, games, coloring books, puzzples, and activites with a chalkboard wall to draw on. We also have a snack and beverage nook with a coffee maker that makes hot or iced k-cups, along with a microwave, and mini fridge for all your favorite goodies.
Our backyard has a fire pit with four adirondack chairs, a hammock to relax in, and direct access to the Robinson Pond. Feel free to use our assortment of small boats. We ask that you do not bring your own watercraft, as it is against TSPOA regulations, so please abide by their rules. We also do have 2 Guest Passes that will allow you to go to the TSPOA town beach.
We have provided a list of some Local Eats and Markets, Shopping and Activities in the house manual you will find on the premises. Before each stay we ask that you fill out a Renter’s Agreement for the Taconic Shores Property Owners Association per their request.
