I stayed two weeks in this apartment and loved it. The view out the patio was one reason I booked this flat and it was well worth it. You can watch the sunset and the lights on nearby cathedrals come on while relaxing in the overstuffed chair. Near the end of my stay the weather was warm enough to enjoy some time out on the patio.
The other main reason I selected this flat is for the location, and that was outstanding, too. Literally twenty steps from the outside door you are on a wonderful street lined with restaurants, bars, bookshops, a gelato shop, everything you could want. I really enjoyed walking along it in the evening when it was all lit up. The apartment stayed surprisingly quiet given that it was so close to all these businesses.
If you walk a block away, you get to a taxi stand where you can always find a taxi waiting (unless there's a strike!). A block a slightly different direction and you are in Piazza Navona where you can have lots of free space to stroll both day and night, enjoy the fountains, go inside the beautiful church, and eat at one of the outdoor cafes.
Go a couple blocks south and you will find Campo di Fiori, a fun outdoor market open every day with fresh produce, hats, scarves, handbags, spices, cheese, olive oil, souvenirs. There are also restaurants, bakeries, and offshoot streets with shopping.
Alex made it easy for me to check in and out of the flat, and everything was clean and as advertised. I was able to keep the place at a comfortable temperature for myself with the wall unit in the bedroom and the space heater downstairs.
I was very happy to see a Nespresso machine there, and immediately visited the Nespresso shop near the Spanish Steps to buy coffee pods. The only additional thing I wished the flat had was a microwave oven for reheating things. The kitchen is very small but I still managed to do a fair amount of cooking.
This is a great place for able adults. It is not appropriate for children (too many places they can easily fall and hit their heads) or for people with mobility issues (stairs to kitchen, bedroom/bathroom). For me, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable - very hard. I think others would find them just fine.
It is an easy walk to the Vatican, the Trastevere area, Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum. Also, I took a pasta making class that was very fun and was only a block away from the flat.
Summary: Wonderful location, gorgeous view!
