the house was very clean and had everything we needed. The backroads were very pretty during fall and this home offered everything we needed to rest and unwind
I can't say enough positive things about this stay.Everything was ready for our arrival and we had everything we needed for our stay. Of all of the homes we rented over the years this was the cleanest! A great place to relax and enjoy the nature. Lots of beautiful hiking trails and lakes & rivers nearby. Thank you Tomoko for sharing you beautiful property with us! We are planning to return next summer!

Great modern house in the wilderness
The house was perfect and Tomo was more than accommodating. The house was very modern and had almost everything we could ask for. Tomo worked with us for an early check in and had everything set up and perfect for when we got there. The only thing I might consider adding is a speaker to plug a laptop into since there is no cable, or a DVD player. Other than that the house was absolutely perfect.

Richard's group was a great guest; communication was smooth and they were courteous guest and left the place very clean and neat. I would gladly welcome them back. Thank you.
Very beautiful, clean and cozy house on a nice property with lots of privacy. Rooms and bathrooms are very specious, sparkly clean and very convenient to use. Lots of space in a kitchen. Plenty of utensils, pans and pots - all are very well organized. Host Tomoko is always helpful and easy to reach. The place is created so vacationers can enjoy the stay with no stress. We definitely recommend this place and we will come back here again in a future for vacation.

Great house in a great location!
Had a great time visiting the Adirondack's and Tomo's house and property is awesome. The house is neat and clean, comfortable bed, huge shower and tub, full kitchen, the WiFi worked great, and the property is beautiful. So peaceful I could literately hear the leaves hit the ground.
The fall foliage was perfect for my visit and this location is great for local hiking trails with fantastic views and it's within an hour or so of many must see places. If you forget something for your stay, want a good sandwich, or need recommendations for hiking stop by the Crossroads Deli and Store they were great.
I can't thank Tomo enough for a great experience and being a gracious host. I highly recommend Tomo's house and I will definitely be back.
Thank you!!!

Great hidden gem. Cabin in the woods
The house is well equipped....washer, dryer, cooking equipment, rice maker, Soda Stream. The beds are really comfortable with great sheets and towels. Spacious modern bath with shower & tub. Great big windows that allow cool breezes and lots of light. I happened to see some wild turkeys out my bedroom window. The owners are responsive and easy to reach. They quickly remedied an issue we had with the refrigerator. I highly recommend their home.

Charming cabin in a wonderful location!
I myself have a lakefront property on the nearby Friend’s Lake; but it is not winterized and I needed accommodations for the weekend. What a pleasant surprise to be pointed in the direction of this wonderful home -so close to familiar roads and locations. The property itself contains all the sights and nuances that make the Adirondacks great; the wooded areas, a babbling brook upon entry, and the effect of feeling so small against the backdrop of this grand, deep-wood experience. The interior of the home itself has all the comforts of modern living designed with space and freedom in mind. We wanted for nothing and truly felt as though we had escaped the world for our time here. Not only would I come again, but I would recommend to anyone who has not sampled of the beautiful Adirondacks; to consider this amazing getaway at Shaw Hill. Communications with Tomoko (the owner of the property) were detailed, friendly, and I always felt that support (if needed) was just a call or text away. Five out of Five stars!

Quiet, tranquil oasis in the woods
This is the 2nd time I've stayed at this home and loved it just as much the 2nd time around. The house is thoughtfully designed and has wonderful amenities, including a luxurious bathroom. It is very clean and organized, and the setting is quiet and peaceful. The owner, Tomo, is easy to communicate with and is conscientious. I hope to return again in upcoming summers.

Beautiful, immaculate, clean, modern, warm stay. Tomo is extremely easy to work with. A+
Property was very unique in that it's modern but also warm and cozy. We loved using the wood burning stove, and streaming shows on our Roku (we brought the Roku up and plugged it into the high-speed internet - highly recommended!). Tomo was extremely easy to work with and checkin was a breeze. Close to Gore mountain, Schroon lake, Lake George Areas. We went snomobiling on Loon Lake close by. Great experience overall - will be back!

AMAZING HOUSE= GREAT VACATION
We had an amazing vacation at this house. The owner keeps it perfectly clean and equipped. It was very nice that since we had traveled all the way from Guatemala the day before, he allowed us to do an early check in, and when we arrived, instructions were simple, clear and very friendly and easy to follow. The house is beautiful, with everything in perfect conditions. Although it doesn´t have a TV cable service, we were advised in advance on what to bring to be able to use our iPad. And that was enough. We would definitely choose to stay in this house again. The surroundings are gorgeous, and so is the whole property. We are a family with two kids, and they had a great time, as well. Linens and towels were very nice, and good quality. And the only thing that was not very friendly was the instructions on what to do with the trash/waste. Since we stayed for Christmas the Landfill was closed for the Holidays, and we had carry around with our garbage, until we found a proper place to dump it, which became a little stressful. But other than that, I would say that it was just a perfect place, for our vacation. Mr. Daido was very fast on answering every time we wrote him a message, since we paid for the rent. This is the second time we use HOMEAWAY for choosing our vacation home, and we are very pleased. This house, is exactly how it looks in the pictures, and that is nice, since we did not have any disappointments when we arrived. It was a great place to get away and relax.
