Daniel was exceptionally responsive and helpful! the property was stunning and the Thainy house had everything we needed for a cozy stay. pro tip: pack a hammock because there is a sweet set up over by the pond, it was the perfect place for a nap :)
The “Thai”ny House was exactly as I pictured it! Very clean, beautifully decorated, and so charming. It’s a great get-away from the hustle and bustle of Maine’s coastal traffic. It was a perfect ending to our trip before going home.
Property was clean and in a quiet area of town. Communication was great with Dan and any questions we had were answered quickly. My family of 4 loved this space and found it close to a lot of restaurants etc downtown. Would stay here again!
I really enjoyed this place...it was very peaceful and I loved the simplicity of the tiny house. The only thing that was challenging (for me) was that I probably could have used another blanket at night, since it seemed to get cold at night, but otherwise, it was a wonderful experience for me and my dog.
We have stayed at the Thainy House before and loved it. It is the perfect cozy retreat witjhall of the amenities. The property is quiet and beautiful. Dan, the property manager is kind and responsive. Would highly recommend!
The place was exactly what it showed on the listing. It was very comfortable. Despite the rain we enjoyed our stay veryuch and we will definitely be staying there again.
The Thainey house was the perfect spot for our family. The property was wonderful and allowed for space for our 2 children and dog to run around. The house was immaculate and had all of the amenities we needed.
We ended up arriving from Arizona on the hottest day of the summer. Dan was incredibly accommodating and worked with the owner to make sure we were as comfortable as could be, despite the heat. The property was quaint, clean and a wonderful home away from home. I highly recommend staying at the Thainy House!
We had a great stay at the Thainy House! It was February, but we were warm and cozy inside. My son loved the bed in the loft. We were very happy with our stay here. Very clean and everything we needed inside. Private location in the woods, but close to amenities. We will definitely be back!
Could not be happier. Dan, the property manager was awesome. Stayed in touch until we got the door opened. Then was very quick to respond after that. Will book next year's trip as soon as we set the date.
year's trip as soon as we set the date
We stayed while having some work done on our own home nearby. The Thainy house was very cozy and weather-tight- including during a very rainy day. The owner provides a nice gooseneck kettle with a thermometer and a French press- I wish I’d known before I packed in my own kettle from home. WiFi was excellent, which was very important as we were not on vacation and both of us needed to work. Everything was easy to find and use, and the kitchen was well-equipped. My only issue was that when we arrived we noticed a strong smell similar to cats. We used the provided candles to cover it. (This IS a pet-friendly property.) Overall, we were very comfortable, it was a nice change from a hotel, and it was fun to try out a tiny house.
I don't like giving a 3 star review 3.5. I did enjoy my stay. The house was pleasant, the location was great. It was comfortable for the most part. My stay was 9 days. The average temp outside was 30 to 40. Radiant heat floor, so it sounds like the water is always running. 68 seemed like a good temp to be set at but it didn't get to 68 and sleeping was little chilly, the wood stove worked great, and made a huge difference. The basket of wood was half full so i had to collect wood several times. There was no wood pile to refill from. The shower basin filled up during my 1st shower. I cleaned the drain which was moldy and full of black hair. There is a full size fridge, but no coffee maker, a French press, but no microwave. No broom, a small handvac, with little to no suction. There are no window coverings, except the bathroom. There was half a container of cream cheese in the frindge, and a water filter jug with an expired filter flashing time to change. There were some coffee grounds, no sugar or honey. Overal had an enjoyable stay. I would stay here again. It seemed clean and safe. Although, I did hit a deer driving, so if you rent a veh get the extra coverage!
We loved our stay and hope to be back again in the future. There is a beautiful sense of peace on the property and you can feel the love that has gone into building this home! We booked this place because of the write up that Danielle shared about her vision and the work that her dad did to build the place. We were not disappointed. The only problem we had was finding the home. We didn't see an address on the road and drove down a few driveways before locating the right one. We suggest arriving in the daytime so you can find it.
The place was very clean and it was easy to get to. Communication with Dan was easy and straightforward. I would love to stay here again in the future!
