About this property
Cozy cottage with Lake Erie access
This lovely cottage is the perfect place for your Lake Erie getaway. Nestled along the coastline this superb property offers all of your favorite amenities. 3 bedrooms, sleep 9 guests comfortably (with three queen beds, one full bed, and one twin bed) there's plenty of space for everyone to relax and recharge. The cozy living area is perfect for gathering with loved ones, while the fully equipped kitchen allows for easy meal preparation, and the dining room is a great space to gather for game night. Stay connected with high speed WiFi, and enjoy the convenience of smart tv's. After a day of exploring, retreat to the fire pit for s'mores and downtime. Northeast Ohio is home to ALL 4 SEASONS, and there is something to enjoy year round. Hot busy summer days at the beach, and nights at the GOTL strip. See the vibrant colors of the leaves taking hikes through the covered bridges in the fall. Get snowed in and enjoy a quiet weekend with movies in the winter. And then in the spring enjoy sunshine with walks along the beach coast searching for birds and beach glass.
Only 3.5 miles to the Ashtabula Harbor. Check out the shops with local art and beach jewelry, grab some caffeine from Harbor Perk Coffeehouse, Enjoy a bbq dinner at Briquettes Smokehouse, sit on a bench and watch the boats go by, visit a local museum, learn about the coast guards, or watch the draw bridge lift. If you happen to be in town at the right time enjoy a local event such as Ghost Tours, Farmer's Market, The Wine & Walleye festival, and Holidays in the Harbor.
4 Miles to The Strip area at Geneva-on-the Lake. Enjoy all the busy sights and sounds this area is known for! Bars, restaurants, arcades and t-shirt shops occupy every other building all with a backdrop of the Great Lake Erie. A few fan favorites are bike nights at Sportsterz Bar & Grill, mini golf or bumper boats, the bar crawl. In the morning Mary's Diner or Madsen donuts are the best and in the evening Mike's Gyro's and Eddie's Grill will fill you up! The wineries begin on the strip too with Old Firehouse's famous wine slushies.
Did you say Beach, Beach, Beach? Just a 1 minute walk to our private beach access, 4 miles to Walnut Beach in Ashtabula, 8 miles to Breakwater Beach in Geneva. Swimming, Fishing, Boating, Hunting for Beach Glass- whatever your pleasure, Lake Erie has it all!
12 miles to the wineries. Madison and Harpersfield are home to acres of vineyards and dozens of wineries. Tons of local brands with sweet and rich grape flavors can be found in an afternoon of visiting the wineries. A few of our favorites are Debonne Vineyards (Try the Pink Catawba, grab a cheese plate and play bocce while listening to local music), Laurentia Vineyard & Winery (Stunning wood work and decor inside, with peaceful outdoor seating area too. Try one of their flatbreads with your favorite wine), and Ferrante Winery & Ristorante (great final stop because they have the best dinner menu, be sure to buy a bottle to take home as your souvenir).
Tour Ashtabula's Covered Bridges- there are 19 in this county alone! Plus more in the neighboring counties. Take a drive to enjoy these sights. Several offer parking near by to go for a walk on or under the bridge. Watch nature, birds and animals. Enjoy a hike or a scenic look out. Perfect for a fall afternoon when the leaves are changing!
Bring your clubs- just 5 miles to a few golf courses!
1 hour to Presque Isle, Waldameer Amusement Park, and Erie PA.
1 hour to the Cleveland Airport, Browns Stadium, and the Cleveland Guardians.
And, so so much more! You're going to want to book an extra day.
