About this property

Absolutely Gorgeous Vermont Garden Cottage

In the heart of Vermont, the Cottage is the perfect getaway for couples and honeymooners. It's completely private with it's own deck and access to the gardens and forest. Beautifully renovated with touches with of old and new. Incredibly cozy and well-loved. You can't go wrong.

Lovingly renovated art studio in the heart of Vermont's artisan food community. Perfect as a couple's getaway but also includes an upstairs "bunk room" that sleeps 4+ if needed. A simple kitchen with two burner stove and small fridge gets your tea and coffee going.

Guests are welcome to pick from the garden, stroll the woodland paths. There are two bikes for you and adirondack chairs to relax and read in on your private deck.

Guests have total privacy but you are welcome to knock on our door if we're around. We love to meet guests as well.

The beauty and quiet of country living with the excitement of town close by. You are close to the action of our vibrant state capitol or in the country climbing, biking, swimming or gardening - in the same day. Or just putter in the garden and lounge on the deck in the Adirondack chair with your hand-crafted Heady Topper (beer.)

Farm to plate restaurants in Montpelier, great craft beer scene.

World-class skiing at Stowe and Sugarbush, biking, hiking and Nordic Ski trails, swimming ponds right next door.

Vermont's foodie world - artisan cheese, beer, maple syrup, raw milk, grass fed beef, sweet corn, blueberries.

Or stay and putter in our garden.

AMTRAK comes to within 10 miles of the back door. Burlington Airport is 50 minutes. Buses between Montpelier and Burlington are plentiful. Local taxi will come get you and bring you home.

Easy parking in the driveway. Use the private office in the cottage with WiFi.
We ask guest to not wear shoes because of the soft pine floors.

Loved this place
Loved this place! Nice large place for two, loved the ambiance of the place, including a lovely back porch with view of garden. Only thing lacking was no coffee condiments (no cream or sweetener) or no dish linens. Would definitely recommend it!

Relaxing, bucolic get-away!
This cottage was perfect for my wife and I as we were looking for a centrally located base in Vermont for a family destination wedding in the area as well as for side trips to the Von Trapp complex and the Ben and Jerry's factory. There's a very efficient air conditioner in the main room, but the breezes blowing through the suite were perfect for sleeping most nights. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was quite functional, especially an awesome countertop convection over. I also learned how to use a French press coffee maker! We would gladly return if in the area again! Thank you
