This is my 4th time renting the property and all my stays have been excellent. The property is well kept. recent property work has improved the mobility around the property and has also improved the view of the lake. if you are looking for a quiet place to fish, swim and relax, this property is excellent!

The cabin was very clean! Often cabins have webs in the windows - this one did not! The area was so quiet and peaceful. The lake was wonderful for floating with very little boat traffic, even on a holiday weekend. The road in was a bit rough but that made it feel a bit more private. Be sure to pack everything because it is not an easy jaunt to the grocery store. I highly recommend and hope to go back!

The host was amazing at communicating from the booking all the way to the day we checked out. The property was above and beyond what we expected! We walked in and even my husband said 'we are never leaving!' We spent hours upon hours kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, and playing games. My 12 yo caught endless fish with hotdogs off the float. My 14 yo was off the devices the entire week. My basset hound lived his best life lounging on the covered porch over seeing everything and taking his first spin on the kayak. This property had everything you need and more, I ordered grocery delivery from shaws to be delivered the afternoon of check in and it was wonderful not needing to worry about coolers, shopping immediately or planning every little thing. We needed a restful family week away after a busy summer of working and putting our FIL on hospice and this was the exact thing we needed to come together and relax, unplug and unwind. THANK YOU for sharing your piece of Heaven with us

Howie’s camp was fantastic. Camp is right next to the water, with a great view. Tim’s cove seems to be quieter than other parts of the lake which was a pleasant surprise. Additionally, the wind doesn’t seem to impact the cove nearly as much as it does in other areas. We’re a family of six and a dog and we had plenty of space. The kids loved the loft area upstairs and they had fun exploring the short trail in the woods. The groundwork they’ve done is an added bonus. We brought our 18 foot speed boat. The camp road is a bit rough for a big fiber glass boat, but we managed. If we visit again I may put in at the marina simply for peace of mind. The boat launch beside the property is plenty deep for launching, but backing a trailer down was quite the team building activity for the wife and I. The floating dock worked to tie off on and we didn’t have any trouble. We were fortunate that the lake was pretty much glass all week long. The cove on the far side was my back up plan if I needed to escape a heavy wind which I think would have worked well. The kids fished, swam, paddle boarded, and tubed sun up to sun down. The view of sunrise over the lake is well worth getting up for. There were a couple of otters playing in the small cove off to the right of the cabin our first morning there which was fun to watch. We barely heard or saw another person all week which was just what the doctor ordered. Would happily visit Howie’s again!

We loved our stay at the cabin. Everything was very cozy and comfy. Cabin had everything we needed. Great location and the view is amazing. Can’t wait to go back.
