The Majestic Overlook was amazing!! All 9 of us could not say enough about it. It was a little difficult to find and we all thought there was an indoor pool and 2nd hot tub, regardless, We highly recommend this cabin and/or the Stony Brook organization. They were great to work with. Our stay at this cabin has become one of our best group memories.

The views were priceless. We saw bears and rainbows! Spacious parking. Easy to find.We had a few minor issues. Trouble with the door code and never received a working one but luckily there was someone there to let us in. The house was clean-ish. I would defiantly ask for more trash bags and dishwasher soap if having a large crowd. We found several insects in a few rooms and some of the kitchen items were not thoroughly clean but in general it was a great place. We would recommend the place!

Absolutely beautiful home and location. View is fabulous, we even had a couple bears visit daily. Great place to stay for an extended family trip. Management company was great to deal with, provided all essential information. The cleaning staff were amazing, the house was spotless!! Only down side, which had zero impact on our trip, was that the house could use a little maintenance. Some areas of the decks are peeling and deteriorating. There were also several spots in the front of the house it looked like they were getting ready to paint?? Would absolutely stay here again!

The house was great for our group. The hot tub was perfectly balanced when we arrived the location and view were great! It was clean bring some books and games for your crew to enjoy. It's a great middle between pigeon forge and Gatlinburg.

This place was/is marvelous!! My family truly enjoyed our stay. The home was equipped with an abundance of everything we needed for our stay. If you are looking to meet a bear, this is the place. We encountered one every day! These are memories my grandkids will never forget, nor will the rest of my family. I highly recommend this cabin for large family groups. It served us well.

We had 15 people in for Christmas and had a great time. Tons of room; everything was in great shape and fantastic views. We had a problem with one outside door lock and they had a service person out less than an hour after we called.

We try to provide a unique family meeting place for vacation each year, and Majestic Overlook was one of our favorites. The views were incredible! You will have a good curvy mountain road to get there, but our family all agreed it was worth it! Well situated to go left into Gatlinburg or right into the national park once you come back down. Community pools and tennis courts were very nice. Rooms were spacious and private. Well designed with four on each floor. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of parking. Ramp and one walk in shower bathroom provide some wheelchair accessibility, but there is no elevator. I’d have been happy watching nature change the view all day from the covered deck, but there is so much to do here! We could have stayed two weeks and still not seen it all! The area has a ton of touristy options. Dig Zone offered construction equipment to try and the Pirate Voyage show had an amazing group of athletic performers. However, Mother Nature beats them all. Roaring Forks Nature Trail was an incredible drive and provided great hiking too. Cades Cove drive provides some historic homesteads to visit. We visited Gatlinburg in mid July, and though we didn’t meet a boy named Sue, we did see bears every day. In town, at the house, visiting Anakeesta, in the national park, etc. Honestly, we loved them. They are focused on food. As long as you don’t bother them, they don’t seem interested in you. Keep both car and house doors locked at all times though.

Great Property

The property was exactly what I would expect for large groups. Large kitchen with full size fridge and freezer. The property had so much to do, the kids didn’t mind being back at the cabin rather than out on the town. We did have a problem with sliding doors not closing properly and there were lady bugs everywhere inside. Overall wasn’t a big issue though.

The Great: The view is the best we’ve ever had. The kitchen is very well-stocked, there is plenty of space and seating, and the layout is fantastic. Additionally, the management company was extremely responsive.The Not-So-Great: The property needs some TLC. The decks are peeling, there are loose railings, and the furniture is aging. Also, keep in mind there are no basics provided, such as salt, pepper, or non-stick spray.The Terrible: The internet never worked, which rendered the TVs and the theater—which we were extremely excited about—completely useless. The management company mentioned they had received many calls and attributed the issue to the high volume of people in town for Rod Run weekend, claiming there was nothing they could do. Considering every weekend is busy, this is definitely an issue that needs to be addressed. Plan on bringing your own hotspot or DVDs if you want to use the theater or TVs.

Our family of 15 thoroughly enjoyed the views and the many spaces within the house to gather and talk, play, or just sit and admire nature. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was a great social hotspot. The hot tub was perfect in the evenings for more relaxing conversations.

My family had a family reunion at the Majestic Overlook and it was very comfortable for our large extended family! We are mostly adults with only a few children, so we really appreciated that the bedrooms were all the same with a tv, king bed, en suite bathroom, and balcony access - no useless "bunk rooms". There is plenty of couch and table space for hanging out and the hot tub was ready to use and was clean and hot. The kitchen is large but a bit bare bones on pots/pans/potholders etc, so if you must have a certain kind of kitchen accessory, best to bring it yourself. We did have a couple of minor issues with the property and the property management team was extremely responsive and sent someone out right away. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and everyone had a blast.
