Centrally located in the mountains of Western NC sits this magnificent retreat. At 3,500 foot elevation the views garnered from every vantage point will highlight the Blue Ridge Mountains that this region is known for. The home showcases imported doors from Spain and France, custom cabinetry, heated-tile floors, stone Fireplace, chefs' kitchen, and wrap-around porches.

Layout: On the Main floor you can enjoy a comfortable Open Floor plan with Living Room, Dinning area, half bath, and Kitchen. The large Primary Bedroom is on the main floor with a king bed and ensuite bathroom with tiled walk-in shower and garden tub. Upstairs there is sitting area with work space and a flex space with a sleeper sofa. There are two bedrooms upstairs, one with a Queen bed and the second with two twin beds. There is a full bathroom upstairs with a shower and tub. The entire lower level is a large 4th Bedroom. It has its own sitting area with TV and queen bed with another full bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is also a laundry room available for your use. Enjoy the wraparound deck with views, Hot Tub, seating areas, breakfast table, propane grill and a fire pit in the yard.

Christmas in the Mountains

We had an amazing time. Santa visited our 3 year old and 4 month old grandsons. Of course after cookies were baked and reindeer food both put out. Could hear the reindeer bells. Had to get to bed quick. Christmas morning was full of electricity of excitement. Lots of board games. Special time with 4 generations. Wonderful time.

Perfect weekend getaway

This house fit our party of 10 comfortably. Two families with teenage kids, they enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We also spent most of our time while at the house on the porch. The house is about 20 min from town, it’s very quiet and peaceful.

Overall great stay! Would stay again. The biggest thing to take into account is the steepness of the road and driveway getting to the house. This would be the only con in my opinion however this is the mountains and it is expected. I’m calling this out to help future guests plan and determine if they have the right vehicle depending on the season. Thank you Point of View for a wonderful stay!

Do Not Waste Your Time

Issues with securing doors, one door with no lock. Manager (Emergency Contact) is very disrespectful and inappropriate. Porches are uncleaned, piles of debris. Outdoor seating is stained and molded. Do not waste your time. Very deceiving listing.

Broken Hot Tub

Our biggest complaint was the hot tub was ICE cold when we arrived Saturday evening. I texted the emergency contact number to report it. They responded asking for pictures of the panel - which we sent - and then ghosted us for the rest of the weekend. Calls to the property manager on the Monday of our departure were not returned. The view from the porch was lovely, but the house was certainly not spotless- there were dead bugs around in the floors and a dirt ring in the toilet of the master bath: we were disappointed with our stay.

The house is nice and has a great view. Communication with the host was prompt and good. It was also an easy drive to downtown Asheville. The reason I'm giving four stars is that it's a little lacking in creature comforts. We were there to have a girls' weekend and spent most of the time hanging out at the house. The kitchen only has the bare minimum -- it was missing simple things like a pizza cutter and a tea kettle. The couch wasn't very comfortable and there were no throw pillows or blankets to cuddle up with.
