We loved our stay- it was quiet and peaceful. Convenient and walking distance to town and beautiful surrounding area. Beds were comfortable. Sauna was a great treat! Host responsive and kind.
We had a lovely stay at Danielle’s property. Her home has the coziest decor, is in a great location walking distance to town and hiking trails, and has a great fenced in yard. The sauna is an amazing touch. We brought our dogs for a weekend trip and everything was great. We would love to visit again.
Kitchen was wonderful. Bedroom on main floor very comfortable and swings on porch very fun. The full size bed upstairs was not made, there was food left in refrigerator, and the silverware did not feel clean. We had to wash it again. From an aesthetic point, the sofa is not comfortable to sit around and talk or relax. The TV is too big in the living room and would be better over the fire place so the stain glass window can be seen.

Hi Veronica! Thank you for your review. We only keep condiments and such in the refrigerator for other guests to use, it seems wasteful to throw it away! Very sorry about the silverware. Sometimes guests put things away before we clean , we will be sure to check everything in the drawer. As for the bed, all beds were made with clean linens prior to your arrival! Thank you for your input on the living room. We will take this into consideration. We hope we get the chance to host you again in the future.

Great location. Walk to the stores, restaurants, hiking, and even Saturday evening mass. A short drive to Woodstock for a concert at Colony. House was well equipped with everything we needed. Sauna was great. Fireplace was real nice. House was nice and warm on a cold January weekend. Hope to return soon.
If you want a house that is dripping in charm, check this one out. It's an adorable home with good juju that is only a few minutes walk to the heart of Phoenicia, including the lovely Esopus Creek, of which we provided a photo. We greatly appreciated the comfortable bed, as well as the sauna in the wellness room, and communication with the host was always clear and quick. Although we didn't cook much, the kitchen is thoughtfully appointed; we enjoyed the delicious coffee from the Nescafe machine.
The house is a charming 1920s style bungalow located in a great place to explore the hiking trails of the Catskills. The house is very clean. Bed is very comfy, and all of the necessities were provided. We especially appreciated the pet friendly aspect of it as we were able to bring our dogs with us on hikes. The fenced backyard was very helpful as well. We had a great relaxing time here.
Danielle was a wonderful host! She communicated clearly with us about an early check in and checked in once we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is adorable and so cozy. It was the perfect size for us, two people with one dog. Our pup enjoyed the space and the fenced in backyard. We adored the space, decor, sauna, fireplace, and the tub was to die for! I love a good tub. The town was quiet since we were there during a holiday week but it was great to walk around, check out the shops, and dine in town. We had everything we needed here and would absolutely recommend it!
The property was very clean and welcoming. We brought our dogs. I enjoyed the vintage decor and the artwork. The bed was very comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet. Danielle our hostess was very kind and provided us with information on places to eat and activities in the area. This was our first experience at an air b&b. We would most definitely return here.
This amazing house right in the heart of Phoenicia couldn’t be any more perfect! It came fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. Had a fenced in yard for our pets. The owner was amazing. The house is a five minute walk to town. It was decorated so beautifully and it was so charming. It was absolutely perfect!
Very quaint bungalow, feels like staying at grandma’s. Fun and quirky decor. I stayed here while my family was camping in Big Indian. We grabbed the bnb as a backup in case weather (or child) didn’t cooperate and were happy to have this as lovely home base. The sweet host reached out a couple of times to make sure all was well
Welcome to our cozy Phoenicia retreat! We're so glad you're here. Hosting is truly a joy for us—we love creating a warm, relaxing space where guests can unwind, reconnect with nature, and feel completely at home.
We’re especially passionate about vintage design and mountain living, and we’ve poured that love into every corner of the bungalow—from the antique details to the crackling wood fireplace to the private sauna that’s perfect after a long hike.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it feels like a hidden pocket of magic in the Catskills. Tucked between two creeks and surrounded by mountains, it’s peaceful yet walkable—where you can hear birdsong in the morning and stroll to great food and local shops by afternoon. We love the mix of nature and nostalgia here: swimming holes, hiking trails, a vintage train station, and neighbors who wave hello. It’s a place that feels both timeless and warmly alive.
What makes this property unique
What makes our property unique is its soul. This isn’t just a rental—it’s a lovingly restored 100-year-old bungalow with stories in its walls. From the antique clawfoot tub to the private indoor sauna and wood-burning fireplace, every detail was chosen to create warmth, character, and comfort. The fully fenced backyard makes it perfect for pets, and the decor blends vintage charm with lived-in ease. It’s not just a stay —it’s an experience.
