Such a cool property and home! Cabin is decorated beautifully, amenities were plentiful. Fans were provided, and air conditioning in the bedroom. It was perfect. Cabin was very clean and cozy. Property owners were wonderful to work with. Hope to return some day!

If you want an 'authentic cabin experience near the park, this is your destination. It is rustic, 1910 cabin with original flooring, clawfoot tub, and wildlife coming through the yard. We saw doe with 2 fawns, a myriad of California quail.

A very Interesting place.

The cozy cottage was full of nic nacks. The house could use some help we felt the back of the house could fall off the house. A huge slope from front to back that was weird.

It smelled like old Christmas decorations. And it was not a subtle place to stay in my opinion. We walked in and decided we couldn’t stay because of the conditions. It is cool but should be a museum not a rental. We asked if there was anything else and were told no. We had to get another place to stay. Would not recommend.

Better than the pictures

The perfect place to stay when exploring Sequoia. It feels like visiting a family cabin and it’s really a special space very thought out. We loved the convenience of having a the Pinehurst lodge across the street for a quick bite.

Pinehurst cabin

We had a great stay in this cozy cabin. The only critique is the lack of security from people and critters.

Cozy Cabin

The place was very nice and well kept and decorated. The host was absolutely amazing. Got our bed sheets changed every day. Clean towels. Right across the street there’s this charming authentic restaurant, bar owned by a hard working gal Linda. The food was amazing. Will definitely return to this cabin.

The cabin was full of personality and charm with tons of mountain decor, a claw-footed bathtub, and stacks of board games. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of items. We were pleased at how close it was to the entrance of Sequoia Natl Park. It was right across the street from a fun lodge that drew locals for food and karaoke. The bed was a double, smaller than we preferred, but we made it work.

Such a cute cabin with very thoughtful touches like the heater on a timer! Very clear instructions about various things, appreciated that. Well stocked with everything you would find in a home. Quick communication and reply with the owners. Thank you ! 😁

A little piece of heaven

Could not have asked for a more splendid experience!!! Great hosts!! The quaintness of this little cabin is truly surreal!!! Rustic but yet has all the conveniences you need. I’m a stickler for having hot water and this cabin has great hot water. The lodge across the street is a must see. Sitting in front of the fireplace And enjoying good food on a cool Spring evening. Everyone should experience this little piece of heaven tucked away in the Sequoia National Forest.

Awesome remote cabin

We loved staying at the kitschy cabin in Pinehurst. The only drawback was that it is a very, very curvy long drive to get to “civilization” and the restaurant across the street (which is so wonderful!) was closed two of the three nights we were there—had we known ahead of time we could have adjusted our schedule/purchases on the way in rather than being surprised when we arrived. This is not really anyone’s fault, just a consideration.

Great location

This property is convenient to kings canyon/sequoia and we enjoyed the parks. The cabin was very dark and we did not have adequate lighting without the use of a flashlight at times. The cabin had a antique tub and handheld shower with nowhere that we were able to hang it to shower without holding the wand which was a bit difficult. The location of the restarting just across the street was great as there were no other options nearby. Overall an adequate place to stay.

Quaint wooded getaway

Quaint little cabin in the national forest, worked well for my sister and I for a few nights. Closer to the King's Canyon entrance (~45 min) than the Sequoia entrance (~1.5 hours), so if planning trips to the parks keep that in mind. If you're freaked out by bugs, may want to find a different place as there were some in and about the cabin, but nothing major. Also be prepared for a drive through the mountains to get there (and anywhere else from there)!

A bit disappointing

A property with character and charm, but too rough around the edges. The tv was only for dvds, no normal programming, there was no hot tub or pool as listed by vrbo, lighting was very poor, spiders and dust abounded, and while the property is remote, that does not mean secluded. Our neighbors were quite close.

Nice place, lack of respect for guest privacy

Nice cabin close to the park entrance. Guests should know that the owner, according to his own txt, “checks his properties every day.” He feels entitled to enter whenever he wants - and it happened with us. The heater in the dining area wasn’t working. The owner texted saying he would stop by to check it while we were out, and I agreed. When we returned, he had turned on some lights and left the TV on. He said he leaves the TV on so “guests will know it works”. The next day he entered again, this time without giving any notice. After I complained, he explained that he was replacing the heater and had turned on the lights and took out the trash “for me.” I don't know if he does this with every guest, but as a mom traveling alone with her daughter, it felt uncomfortable, intrusive, and frankly a bit arrogant. The heater in the bedroom does not work, which made the nights quite cold. In addition, the owner asks guests to sign a separate "reservation agreement" on top of standard VRBO policies. When I first arrived, I parked on the side of the house instead of in front. The owner sent me a dry message saying I was mistaken and had not followed the instructions in the email — although there was no mention of parking in it. If there are guests in the other cabins, their cars will be parked next to the main window of this cabin. The cabin is nice but the lack of respect for guest privacy was a serious downside. (After leaving, I made a video showing how organized we left it)
