We had a wonderful time. The view was beautiful! We loved the screened in porch. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin was well stocked with anything and everything you might need for your stay. Only drawback was there is no bedrooms on the main level so you have to cart you luggage up and down steps not ideal for older people but we managed okay. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
Incredible stay. We had a fantastic family vacation filled with adventure on the lake. Viewing satellites and shooting stars from the cabin deck with the lights off. Rented a boat. Fishing with several catches. Visiting waterfalls, NOC center, Cherokee, BBQ and just relaxing. Must visit lake end Marina and restaurant. Will be back again.
Great summer fun at Hemlock Haven on Nantahala Lake
This place was awesome! The lake and house were great - the kids water skied, paddle-boarded, swam, and fished. We also enjoyed other local activities including rafting on the Nantahala, tubing on Deep Creek, and hiking.
Had an amazing time. Beautiful cabin on lake Nantahala. We rented a boat for 2 days. Brought it directly to the dock and picked up. Cabin was clean and well stocked. Neighbors were friendly. Will be returning in the near future.
This property was fantastic and exactly as described. We were there for a week for a 70th birthday celebration with children and young grandchildren. Each had their own living area which was fantastic for all. The home is good size but still feels cozy and is extremely well appointed and very clean. You only need to bring food. The water is well water and is some of the best water I have ever had. You will want to be careful to use coasters as they have beautiful rustic wood furniture that you should be careful of.The entry drive is steep but very manageable having 2 levels to bring in your luggage. 2 large screened in porches for quiet mornings and evenings. Virtually no bugs even on the upper of the 3 decks off the main floor which is not screened in. The dock is across a road but it did not present any problem at all. A little traffic noise on e in a while but nothing that would ever stop me from renting again. The lake is absolutely beautiful. Boated and swam a lot. The owner is very gracious, a good communicator and helped with any questions. I highly recommend this place.
Hemlock Haven was amazing, absolutely loved it. Loved seeing the hummingbirds all day everyday, the million dollar view of the lake and mountains, the kitchen is stocked nicely, and the grill was great, so was able to cook some amazing meals. We appreciated the beautiful landscaping, and the place was so comfortable, next best thing to home for sure. We also enjoyed being able to rent a pontoon boat on the same lake! Our family had a great week staying at Hemlock Haven. Of all the places we have rented in North Carolina over the years, we all agreed, this was our favorite Highly recommend Hemlock Haven!!! Thank you for sharing this gem with us
Really enjoyed staying at this lake house cabin. Incredible views from the main living area, decks and dock. Even with being by the “main” road traffic was minimal and made for a peaceful escape from the city. House was incredibly well stocked with everything you’d need (food seasonings, headlamps for early morning fishing etc) and owners were very accommodating and responsive. There were two paddleboards with life jackets/paddles stored on the dock. For any fishermen I’d recommend following the owners advice and hitting up the creeks/river if you find the lake fish too elusive like I did. Did catch some bass and a lake trout using some night crawlers from the marina. Lots of outdoor activities a short drive away and the grocery store was not a bad drive into Andrew’s at all. Would definitely not hesitate to book again. For allowing pets the house was very well cleaned and even my kids with bad allergies had no issues at all.
