Very good

Good property for accommodation but the 10x4m pool is out of action. Limited WiFi access. Courtyard seating area outside open to non busy road (not so good for dog). Good access to local town and lake.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your holiday.
Well situated close to the Lac de Guerlédan and the Canal de Nantes à Brest. Very calm, and Andy was very helpful.Large playing room with ping-pong table and darts. The house we rent had 3 bedrooms, a large dining room with a fireplace and a well equiped kitchen. We also used the swiming pool and large playgrounds.

Thank you for your review. We look forward to seeing you again.
We were late arriving but Andy was on site to meet us and we checked in immediately and even managed an evening dip in the pool after a hot few hours travelling. The pool was brilliant. Shallow enough at one end for the youngest child (3yr old) but deep at the other to challenge the older kids. Even though it’s a shared a pool we had it to ourselves most times we swam and we swam twice nearly every day.
Great location, cycle route only a few km’s away, Lac du Guerledan wasn’t far away for a nice day out and the house was close to Mur-de-Bretagne too.
The house was clean and tidy and suited our needs and there was plenty of space outside for the kids; green area, swings and even a ping pong table in the barn. Thanks for everything Andy!

Thank you for your review Firstly, you booked quite late with us and we can clearly see you had contacted a number of other properties for availability and we excepted you even with your 6 dogs. When you arrived it was clear you had no idea what you had booked and even said the property wasnt the same in the picture until your wife showed you on the wedsite. All the things you have said about our property being 5 house, shared solar heated pool, no wfi, english tv are all detailed on on the webpage. When you arrived you were rude to me and rude to our other customers who we had stopping. The customers were embarrassed with your behaviour.
I am so glad we have an opportunity to review our customers.
We are happy to except reviews good or bad Your review is not an honest review of our property.

First time in France!!
This was my first experience of holidaying in France. We booked at very short notice for a 4 day break. Excellent commuication with the owners, they were really helpfull.
We travelled over via the channel tunnel but the next time we return we'll definately come over on the ferry!
The location is rural but really stunning!! The property is beautiful I'd recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing, peaceful holiday! We found a Lidl store and the wine was priced from 1 euro 59 +, as we also have a 8 mth old baby we tended to dine in rather than going out!
Our children aged 14, 10, & 6 wanted to spend all their time at the farmhouse exploring the couryard , gardens & games room, they didn't once complain of being bored!!
Unfortunately as we only had 3 full days by the time we found our way around ( it was our first time driving abroad!) it was time to leave, but we will definately be returning as soon as we can!! The owners Andy & Jo were lovely really helpfull, pleasant people they helped us with directions numerous times and we did spend one afternoon at a lovely lake beach!
The only thing I felt uncomfortable with was how bad my French is!!! Although we found everyone we encountered to be really polite!!
We took our car as you would need one because of the rural setting but overall a positive first time experience for myself and my family and we'll most definately be returning in the future.

About the host
Hosted by Jo and Andy Wright
Le Cosquer has been our home for the last 15 years and I just love the slow pace of life. We brought the beautiful property 15 years ago and I haven't stopped working on it.
Why they chose this property
We brought the property after falling in love with it and seeing its potential. The local villages love the English and we have a very sociable life. There are lots of places to visit around the local area
What makes this property unique
The region is of a similar climate to Cornwall being a littler warmer. Although there are micro climates throughout Brittany and this means the weather can be as hot as Spain in some places. There are plenty of places to visit in the area including the beaches at Carnac and Binic. During the summer there are lots of festivals going on throughout the region including the festival at Bon Repos which is outstanding and is over 2 weekends in August. Just a 10 minute drive away is the Lac de Guerdelan. It is a beautiful lake which has a man made beach which is lovely for young and old. There are many activities in the local area.
