(Cabin is approx. 40 yards from the river & you have full access to the common area which consist of the River, River bank & swimming hole).Relax in the back porch swing while watching the sun disappear behind the mountains & star gazing at night. 1 bedroom with lodge furnishings, Master bedroom has king size bed, bath has a large walk in shower (No Tub). The property was exactly as listed and more ! The back porch with mountain view was gorgeous, and the location was perfect for visiting around Helen for Octoberfest but not having to stay in the chaos . The stream was beautiful and the fish were biting ( note they are catch and release ) and you could hear it from the porch when swinging. Thank you for a wonderful time , we will be back !

Anniversary visit

Cabin presented very well and was perfect size for my wifie and I. We enjoyed the porch, fireplace, kitchen and living areas.The area was quiet and convenient to Blairsville.

Great Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bear Claw Cabin! The cabin was clean and bigger than it appeared in pictures. The swing on the back porch was so peaceful and quiet. The stream is just a short walk past a couple of other cabins. We highly recommended staying here!

Perfect getaway

Perfect location for us. The cabin is much bigger on the inside than what we were expecting. Had everything that we needed for our stay except food. We enjoyed the open space outside and look forward to visiting again possibly this year.

This was our 2nd time at the cabin. Nice job re-doing the shower. We love the mountains in N. Georgia. Blairsville is a nice place. It's a awesome getaway. Meeks Park, Smokin' Jim's, Grandaddy Mimm's, plus all the quiet you can handle. I'm sure we'll be back again.

Perfect Couple-Getaway!!

I booked this trip for my husband’s 32nd birthday. We enjoy our rare mountain trips, but this stay was by far the best! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Bear Claw Cabin. It was perfect for just the two of us. It was immaculately clean and had every furnishing that we might need. The large, walk-in shower was definitely a plus! Our hosts were kind & friendly during correspondences; they made our stay comfortable. We will definitely be booking again in the future!

Peace and Quiet

Enjoyed our third stay at this property. Suggest that this time of year that house keeping run a vacuum to clean up dead lady bugs before arrival. Also advise renters that the cabin has cameras but that they are only outside. Seeing Blink hub under the tv made me wonder.

Cabin was the same as it was 9 years ago except big showner no tub. Quiet location. No frills just the basic rental equiped with what you might need . Quick instructions on using remote for either DISH or Prime would have been helpful. Bathroom door that goes to bedroom doesn't stay closed properly.

Very relaxing stay

The house looks small from the outside but when you go inside the one bedroom one bath really didn't feel that small. The king size bed was comfortable. The wife and I loved sitting on the back porch complete with rocking chairs and a swing. The wireless internet was fast and there was no lack of channels to watch on the smart TV. The shower was phenomenal. It was roughly 4'X5' in size. The area was peaceful and the other nearby cabins were not an issue. The drive into downtown Blairsville however was about a 15 to 20 drive. It was a nice drive but a drive nonetheless. It was mentioned in the house VRBO advertisement. The house was very clean and well taken care of. The kitchen was reasonably stocked with the usual amenities. The only thing I could recommend is you had better bring or buy everything you think you might need to prepare any meals such as spices, aluminum foil, plastic bags, etc.. I know from other VRBO stays that people leave things because they don't want to carry it home. I think the cleaning lady must strip all of the things left behind and take it with her. All I found was a salt and pepper shaker and a three year supply of coffee filters in a top cabinet. There were plastic bowls but I never found any tops to them. Overall we had a five star stay and we would have no problem being a return customer. I was just saying that if a guest left some like aluminum foil or plastic bags what would it hurt to leave it for the next guest to use
