Pictures were very deceiving. Pictures made it look like it was newly remodeled, but it is not. I don’t want to say it wasn’t clean but it was dingy and had a musty smell. But we ended up leaving due to the lack of security. The front door locked but there was maybe an inch gap between the door and frame, and someone could knock the door down if applied. It was in a sketchy part of town. Any local gas stations or stores all had bars on the windows within a 1-2 mile radius. We left that day.
Late Nov stay 10days. This was our 1st time using any rental so didnt know what to expect. The host made it all so easy! Timely, friendly, helpful communication. Clean house, exactly as shown in pics. I didn't realize the only ice trays were 2sm silicon ones so we bot a bag of ice fr nearby walmt. Nice bed linens, comfy bed, kitchen stocked well. Washer/dryer on outside bk porch. Nice sitting area in bk yd. Felt like a safe area of San Marco. 1 king bed downstairs w/ full bath in case stairclimbing is issue for guests. I think I'd add a lite at end of driveway to make easier to find at nite. Truly enjoyed our stay here.
I have always loved to travel, but with that being such an expensive hobby I would always have trouble finding affordable housing. I am passionate now about opening up my home to allow more people to travel affordably!
Why they chose this property
San Marco has the most character and history in Jacksonville. The people are kind and there is always something to do downtown.
What makes this property unique
We put a lot of effort into the diverse nature on the property. Rarely do you see bamboo and palm trees in the same place. It creates a tropical island feel and attracts beautiful birds.
