About the host
Hosted by Mike and Sue

We are from Western New York State but fell in love with Tennessee and the Nashville area from the first time we visited. We have family nearby and knew we wanted to spend more time there so we purchased this adorable cabin in 2010 and have used it as a guest house for the past several years for our friends and family. We decided to open it up to others who may be wanting to experience the peace and tranquility of the country but still have close proximity to the Country Music capital of the world.
Why they chose this property
We love living near the city of Nashville but not necessarily in it; guess we're country bumpkins at heart. We can pop into the city for music, culture, entertainment, dining, sporting events, theater, and a number of other activities but then be able to go back to the cabin to relax and unwind in the country. There's a lot to do and see right in the town of Gallatin without having to go into Nashville as well. Old Hickory Lake runs through the town of Gallatin and offers parks, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking in addition to other interests such as shopping, dining, theater, and golf to name a few.
What makes this property unique
This cabin is approximately 170 years old with original logs that ooze with charm and nostalgia and makes you connect to a time gone by. It has an inviting front porch that beckons you to come out and rock in the chairs or put your feet up with your favorite drink. If you listen closely, you may even hear the bray of a nearby mule or the call of a peacock. The sunsets from the front porch are often breathtaking!
