We had an incredible week in this beautiful montecito home! The location was perfect! One block from the beach and 2 blocks from the shops! This was a very good stay!

I had a wonderful girl's weekend here. The location is truly unbeatable! I was also surprised that the place felt much larger than the photos show, and the back patio in the cover photo has been completely redesigned. I would recommend this home to anyone visiting the area and hope to get the opportunity to stay again some time!

Good location walking distance to Butterfly beach and downtown Montecito. We were very disappointed with the major construction going on right behind the back patio. Woken up by hammering at 7:50 one morning and 7:15 another! Not what I want on vacation. The host did not notify us about this ahead of time. We wouldn’t have booked it if we had known.

There is a new house under construction behind my property. The construction is 85% complete fully framed. Construction was suppose to be completed by June 2026 There is some small intermittent noise but should not be overly invasive as the house is fully framed. I have had several guests during the past 6 months who have not complained. I have also priced the property at a discount to account for any noise. I did offer the guest a full refund the day of the complaint. They decided to remain in the property inspite of the inconvenience.

It was the most perfect rental for my husband and myself. Fabulous location….. plenty of space in the house….. wonderful large kitchen…. Most importantly Kerry was so kind and helpful…. Always available .. it was our best trip!

This is our second time staying in the property and we loved it. We came back with our kids this time and it was perfect for our family of four. Good size house with everything we needed for a week. What really makes the house special is the location since it's a 5 min walk from the beach and a 5 min walk from downtown with lots of cute stores and restaurants. Kerry was very communicative throughout the visit while also being respectful of our space. If I needed something he responded quickly and helpfully. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

Wonderful location!

Really enjoyed our stay here. The check in process was very easy, beds were comfy and the house in general was very cozy. Love the location, and walking distance to the beach, coffee, wonderful bakeries, restaurants and shops.

After a 2-hour drive with our toddler and dog, we arrived to find no entry instructions, nonfunctioning A/C despite visible vents and a thermostat (not disclosed in the listing), and, worst of all, what appeared to be an active ant infestation. Within 15 minutes, we'd found approximately 50–100 ants across the bathroom floors and additional ants in multiple areas of the living room. This was far more than a few stray insects.The host told us he was out of town and couldn't address the ants until the next day. We weren't comfortable staying under those conditions with a young child and dog. Turning around and driving home was a miserable decision, not one we made lightly. The host agreed to handle the refund.After we left, he questioned whether the ants were even there, despite my sending video evidence. He acknowledged seeing a few himself, then pointed to a video from the following morning showing none, as though that disproved what we'd documented.He now refuses a full refund, telling me, "I think you overreacted for something that could have been easily resolved. We will have to fight this out."We reported the problem immediately and left only because he couldn't address it that day. The ants were bad enough; being dismissed and challenged afterward was worse. I would never book with this host again.

I really don't need to explain these accusations as my record and references over 5 years with VRBO speaks for itself. I am a Premier Host with almost a 100% positive reviews from over 200 guests. I will however set the record straight. Access instructions were sent via the VRBO platform a few days prior to the guest arrival date. Not sure why they claim otherwise. Air conditioning was not listed as an amenity in the property description format. The guest should have understood that in advance. I received a call upon their arrival claiming the entire house was infested with ants. I instructed the guest to use some ant spray available at the property or go to a hardware store located close by to obtain some traps. They became very agitated and decided to leave immediately. I stopped by the property a few hours later expecting to see an ant invasion. I did not see one ant. I acknowledge their were some ants visible in one of the bathrooms, however, they were gone when I inspected the property. It was a very warm day and ants were probably hunting for water near the sink area. This is not an uncommon occurrence, especially on warm days. The guest completely over reacted to an issue that could have been easily remediated. Although I didn't have to - I granted the guest a 50% reimbursement for their inconvenience. I'm sure they are nice people, but they let their emotions get the best of them. I would be careful as a host in the future and make sure all is understood.

Montecito

This location is perfectly located between the beach and the charming downtown, both 5 min walk. We had a very nice relaxing stay. This home was very clean and we had plenty of room for three adults and a tiny pup.
