Wonderful and clean cabin with the perfect location. We loved the closeness to the beach and listening to the waves at night. The AC unit was a pleasant surprise!!
Set on an incredible piece of land by a river and Lake Superior - it was so spotless, spacious and clean! We arrived during a blizzard - but we were warm and cozy. Beautiful kitchen and bathrooms with spacious and comfy beds. Will return!
We had a very great stay at this house. We normally stay in Au Train and decided to venture a little further west this year. The house itself was very clean and had a nice comfortable large couch and kitchen island for hanging out. There was not immediate beach access, but we used the canoe provided and our own paddle board to traverse the river and head to lake Superior. It was a very easy trip to do and the river was very shallow at the edges so my girls could swim easily. The sauna was also a nice addition and we used it daily. All in all, a great trip was had!
We enjoyed our time at this cabin. The location and setting are terrific and communication with the owner was great. The sunset was beautiful on the mouth of the Sand River looking towards Lake Superior. We did have some issues with the condition of the property upon arrival (in terms of cleanliness) but it was discussed with the owner and she indicated they were using a new cleaner. The bedding and towels from the previous renter had not been washed when we arrived. There was a pile of dirty laundry on the floor and a load left in the washer. We washed, dried and put away the laundry (from previous renters) when we first arrived. Also, the trash had not been taken out and emptied from several of the rooms. The master bedroom trash was completely full of garbage upon our arrival. And the master bedroom had not been swept (there was dust and dirt and even used tissues on the floor under the bed.) One of the bunk beds in the second bedroom I believe never had the bedding changed, as there was dirt and hair and chip crumbs IN the bed. (We obviously remade all the beds with clean bedding when we arrived upon finding that.)So basically, in order to feel comfortable when we arrived, we had to do a full cleaning of the cabin since we couldn’t be sure of what had been done and what hadn’t been done. Once we did that, it was a great place to stay however I do expect a property to be clean when I arrive normally.
