Why Stay on East Beach:
The stretch of beach along the ocean side of St. Simons Island is known as East Beach. A quant neighborhood of single-family homes begins at the access point of the U.S. Coast Guard Station at the northern tip and ends at the southern point of Gould's Inlet by access of Bruce Drive, which runs down the center of East Beach. The Coast Guard Station houses the present home to the World War II Home Front Museum.

No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.

Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.

No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.

It was wonderful to get the family together at this great property. The pool was especially popular. The only problem that we found was the grill. Too small and old so we were unable to use it. The great kitchen made up for it

Great Location

The house was in a good location to everything. The house was clean when we arrived and stocked with beach gear which was a plus. The only issue we had was with parking. The parking was very limited especially for large SUVs. The property management was wonderful and the check in was easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and perfect for small group of friends

Excellent location. Clean and quiet area. Parking was a little tight but 2 suvs fit fine. The pool area provides privacy and the deck chairs are great. One bathroom has been remodeled. The other 2 are outdated and we couldnt get the hit water to work in the master. The kitchen is nice and has all necessities. We loves the breakfast tabke on the porch with the overhead fans. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great Layout and nice open kitchen with large eating area. 1 bathroom needs to be re-painted, as well as outside of house. Water pressure was lower than we are used to, but overall the house suited our needs. Comfortable and plenty of space for 6 people (did not use bunk bed room)

Cute home near the beach. It has been updated. I would recommend. I would suggest that the cleaning crew clean the floor vents and bathroom fans and the floors and edging more and leave cleaning materials behind for guests.

Family vaca for 10

Pros: ample room for our family. 6 adults, 4 kids, pool, recommend renting a golf cart beach is quite a hike, public beach parking is nice if you drive . Short drive to beach and restaurants. Nice kitchen , and front porch, lots of shade. Quiet street. Cons: parking very tight for 3 cars, toaster did not work, outside by pool needs cleaning, lots of mildew. no propane for gas grill, they said not their responsibility and could have someone come over next day to fill but we were grilling for Fathers Day so we replaced tank, The next renters will have plenty of gas. air conditioner filters were black with dust, one extra in house, we bought an extra to replace. Wicker furniture on front porch needs replacing. Great house just needs some maintenance. St. Simons is a beautiful island.

Worked for our short term needs

Overall this house suited our group of ten family members spanning ages 11-74. The pool size, surrounding area, and landscaping/screening are nice, but it is not well lit for evening swimming and the picnic table and a couple of the several chairs are weather worn. The outdoor shower is good for rinsing off after a beach trip, but does not have an enclosure. (Note the exits from house to pool are through the master bath and the larger secondary bathroom. ) The walk to beach is a short distance, however half of the walk is through loose sand and a dune trail - no different than for most East Beach rentals. The master bedroom AC situation described in other reviews is a fair assessment that we remedied by keeping the door to the walkway cracked overnight. The sitting areas are very comfortable and TV services are plentiful. The kitchen is stocked well with eating and cooking utensils, pots, frying pans and glass bakewear, but doesn't have any metal baking pans or measuring cups/spoons that I found. (The electric griddle was great for pancake making.) Sitting options for dining are plentiful. The front porch is a nice gathering spot with two ceiling fans. The small side screen porch is another gathering spot - with the great amenity of second working refrigerator (not freezer). The only true criticism that I have is the comfort of the master king bed (a bit of trenching in the typical sleeping spots therfore sleeps too firm for my taste) and the bunk room (particularly thin/worn, especially on the bottom beds, and definitely not suitable for kids/ teenagers over 100 pounds).

Good, basic beach house

I've stayed in this home 3 times and all have been good. We like that the pool is only accessible through two of the back bedrooms (less likelihood that kids will wander out there). The AC definitely has trouble keeping up. They have added window units in the bedrooms since my last stay, but the kitchen and living space stay pretty warm.

The pictures online do not do this house justice, it is absolutely amazing! We had a great time staying here and would definitely recommend to anyone. The pool is amazing and the walk to the beach is only about 5 mins.

Wonderful beach house in a great location!

We loved this house! Plenty of room for indoor and outdoor activities (our group was 4 adults and a five year old). Once there, we felt like the pictures online made it look smaller than it actually is so were very pleasantly surprised! The house is a classic beach house with very nice bathroom and kitchen updates. A beautiful and private outdoor pool area will be great for warmer weather visits, although our five year old somehow enjoyed floating around on the various pool floats even in December! It is very clean, with plenty of towels and cookware. Easy walking distance to the beach with public access on 6th and 8th streets. The residents of St. Simons are all so friendly and one family even invited us over try out their HUGE bouncy house, so fun! We had perfect weather while we were there and look forward to another stay in 2022!
