•Reliable and secure wi-fi, high speed internet, and printer,
•Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast table and all modern appliances and tools to prepare and serve lovely meals,
•Views of Blvd. Saint-Germain and courtyard (from the kitchen)
This is a huge one bedroom apartment by modern French standards. Most apartments of 130 square meters (1,400 square feet) have long ago been “remodeled” into 2 or 3 or even 4 bedroom apartments. This apartment has preserved all of the proportions and decorations (moldings, windows) that were in place 150 years ago; only the kitchen and bathroom (salle des bains) have been modernized to a size and functionally that Americans expect.
The building is not a huge one: There are 6 floors (including ground floor) in typical Haussmann style, with 8 owners. The apartment is ½ of the third floor, so it is quiet and private.
Additional details:
•All the floors are the original oak herringbone,
•There are three beautiful marble fireplaces with huge mirrors,
•The living room has a comfortable convertible leather sofa, another sofa, three comfortable chairs, a coffee table (all by Roche Bobois), and a flat-screen 3-D TV with cable and DVD, and sound system,
•The tiled bathroom (salle des bains) has a large, fixed rain shower — no tub to contort into,
•A combination washer/dryer in the laundry room is also available,
•Ample dishes and serving implements are available for entertaining,
•The dining room has a Roche-Bobois dining table that seats 6 - 8. As in the living room, large beautiful French windows look out to the tree-lined boulevard,
•The eat-in gourmet kitchen has a table and chairs and top appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, large refrigerator, espresso maker, mixer.... in short, every accoutrement needed for cooking that special French meal after shopping at the open air markets is available.
•The air-conditioned bedroom is large with a queen size bed (firm mattress, 160cm x 210cm), night stands, and luxurious linens. There is a marble fireplace with mirror and a large window that opens to the street below.
•In the bedroom, a large armoire with hangers and selves plus drawers are available for your use.
•The bedroom also has a reading chair, a writing desk, and a CD/radio
•There is an office area in the entry hallway where the phone, printer, and internet are located. Plug in your iPad or computer and you’re connected to the world -- no need to work from the bed or couch.
Upon your arrival you will be met by a fluent English/French speaking Parisian liaison who will give you your keys, explain how the building operates, make sure you’re settled in OK, and answer any questions you may have. In addition to receiving a detailed information booklet well before you arrive, our liaison is available to help you with any of those unexpected “challenges” that can occur when vacationing abroad.

Why they chose this property
We began vacationing in France 20 years ago and it was love at first sight. After ten years of exploring the country we decided that we needed a home base in Paris. We searched for three years and were surprised to learn how many apartments had been subdivided into tiny rooms and had miniscule kitchens. We finally found the ideal apartment in the ideal location, and we're sure you'll find it a terrific place to welcome friends during your sojourn in Paris.
What makes this property unique
This apartment couldn't be better located. It is truly steps from some of the most jaw-dropping sights in Paris, yet it is not inundated with tourists. Situated in the quieter Left Bank, it is still easy walking distance to the excitement and shopping of the Right Bank. With the metro, bus, and RER right outside your door, all of Paris and the surrounding countryside are literally at your feet.
