Ideal central London pied-à-terre

We stayed with one teenage son in this 2 bedroom property in July 2019. It is a large, clean and modern flat. Our son had his own room and bathroom (both rooms are similar in size, one has an ensuite bathroom). By London standards it is a spacious flat. The AC worked and was appreciated given the unusually warm weather (26 degrees C). The owner, Ian, is thoughtful and attentive. He was a pleasure to deal with, very reliable and honest. The property is across the lane from Charring Cross station and has easy connections to Trafalgar Square and London Underground. This was our first try at VRBO as opposed to a London hotel. It was a very positive experience. For small families or two couples who are prepared to walk or use the underground this would be a very good choice for a central London trip, particularly theatre lovers. We toured all day, took an hour or two break during the day in the flat and then slept soundly at night. The building is very quiet and the flat has some sound proofing as the area is busy. The entrance to the building is secure if there are any concerns on that front. The flat is located in the core of a large city so one has to be mindful of one's surroundings when leaving the building but we experienced no problems and from my experience I felt quite comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to my friends who are often looking for accommodations for theatre/museum trips to London.

A gem in Central London - modern, spacious, quiet, comfortable

Ian keeps this property meticulously maintained. Comfortably furnished with lots of modern tech. Amazingly quiet in all rooms given it's very busy, central location. Train stations, restaurants, and the riverfront are just steps from the front door. Easy walking distance to the most popular neighborhoods, sights, and theatre district. 2 bedrooms & 2 full baths made it very comfortable for our family of 4. Ian was very helpful and responsive to all of our inquiries. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Fantastic in every way

We visited London for the first time and preferred a flat to a hotel for our family of 3. Ian’s flat was perfect - perfect location, secure entrance, very comfortable furnishings, recently renovated kitchen with high end fixtures including instant boiling water from the faucet, comfortable UK king sized beds with great bedding, very nice en-suite and second full bath. Comfortable sectional sofa. Ian’s communication is the best including very clear instructions inside the flat. Villiers Street is steps from Embankment Station and close to Charing Cross. Starbucks, Pret, Eat, etc. steps away. Princess of Wales pub next door with good food. Can’t think of one thing I’d recommend Ian do to improve our stay. He even provided adaptors, umbrellas, coffee, tea and candy! We had a wonderful stay.

St James Covent Garden Apartment

We had wonderful 4 Night stay in this modern, freshly renovated well- appointed apartment. It was a great location in central London. The owner, Ian, was very accommodating and excellent in making us feel at home and easy to reach if necessary. The beds were very comfortable and the A/C came in handy with the unusual sweltering hot summer weather! Thanks Ian for helping make this a memorable stop on our family vacation. Perfect location, Clean, Top Notch!

We loved staying in this perfectly located flat during our family spring break trip to London! The 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment is clean, has all modern amenities, and to top it off, Ian, the homeowner provides top notch communication before, during and after your visit. We really loved that we could get to anywhere in London within steps of the flat, plus we were in walking distance of Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and the theatre district. We couldn't ask for a better way to feel at home, safe, and comfortable during our 6 day stay. We highly recommend this property.
