Escape to Valley Vista Retreat—a cozy, one-bedroom home nestled in a peaceful valley with gorgeous views of rolling hills and mountains. Spend your evenings roasting marshmallows by the firepit and stargazing beside the gentle creek or unwind on the deck with a glass of wine while watching cows graze in the distance. You may hear the toll of church bells echo across the valley or the hum of nearby farm animals, which only add to the atmosphere. For something unique, watch small planes take off from the nearby local airport—offering an unforgettable sight against the backdrop of the valley. This home is pet-friendly and sleeps up to four people utilizing the pullout queen-sized couch upstairs, Also equipped with a spacious deck, a welcoming electric fireplace in the bedroom, a Smart TV, gas grill and tools, Keurig, french press, tea kettle, and complimentary coffee and tea to start your day off right. The central location is just 10 minutes from adorable downtown Franklin and offers easy access to a wealth of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, rafting, and fishing, making it the perfect base for both adventure and relaxation. *NO PET FEES!*

Kitchen: Note that we will always provide coffee, tea, flour, sugar, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper, and various other spices in the spice rack during your stay. We also have a Ninja blender for your use. If there is anything you need please feel free to reach out.

Bathroom: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, first aid kit, and more are provided for your use.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
If you have a puppy or untrained dog, please crate when you are gone.
Please note that while we treat the property for pests regularly, some bugs and pests may get into the house, especially if doors are left open.

This property was clean and exactly what we needed for our weekend getaway. We loved that they allowed pets so we could bring our dog with us. We hope to come back again and possibly bring our pre-teen with us next time as she would love seeing the planes land and take off.

We had a great stay at this tiny retreat. The space was very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. The location is peaceful and the mountain setting makes it a really relaxing place to unwind.The host was easy to communicate with and everything about check-in and the stay was smooth. I stayed with my dad and our dog, and it worked out perfectly for us. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in the area.

Katie and David are such amazing hostesses. Pet friendly, kitchen is stocked if you want to cook and stay in. Downtown is right down the road, a lot of cute shops and places to grab a bite to eat. This was just how I wanted to celebrate my 40th! We can’t wait to come back!

The perfect getaway

My husband and I stayed in this tiny retreat while taking a break from hiking the AT. I cannot say enough great things about this little gem of a home! Katie and David have done an amazing job making this home feel cozy. Everything from a great selection of coffee/teas, stocked kitchen cabinets with utensils and cookware, to numerous games and books to read. We thoroughly enjoyed our week away in the mountains and would highly recommend the property to anyone looking to get away from the hustle of life. I will be miss that balcony and view greatly!

We were traveling in the area to spend a few days shopping for home. This place was great. Nice and quiet. Plenty of space for the two of us to get our own quiet time when needed. The whole things seems pretty new. Very clean. Very quiet. Owners are close if you do something silly like lock yourself out. :) Highly recommend.

If I could give the tiny retreat 10 stars, I would! We LOVED this great find. The location is perfect. It is close enough to town for easy access but still felt quiet and peaceful. There is so much incredible exploring to be had in the outdoors surrounding, and this was the perfect spot to unwind after a long day. The cabin was impeccably clean, and we were very impressed with how high quality everything was. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The little kitchen was well stocked. We loved the upper deck for star gazing. We will most definitely be back. My only note is this: Katie did a great job with directions to the cabin, and she was sure to explain the lack of signal and suggested screenshots for directions. I really appreciated that and did just as she suggested. I did not think to screenshot the Wi-Fi password, though. I wish that had been available somewhere in the cabin, but we were able to go back and get it easy enough. I would just remembering to screenshot that while you are preparing for arrival. Katie was a great host, and I cannot recommend their place more!
