High Country Haven Camping and Cabins is a beautiful back to nature mountain experience. Located in Franklin NC 7 mins to downtown. 35-45 minutes to Bryson City, Dillsboro and Sylvia. This one bed queen one full bath with shower and tub cabin is the perfect getaway for a clean and cozy stay! Full kitchen, dining room and living room. Can sleep one extra person on couch or we have a queen blowup mattress you can use for extra sleep space in the living room. You will find cabin lodge decor welcoming to the mountains for you stay.

The kitchen and cabin were very cozy!! The propane bbq grill was a huge plus for us as we grill at home everyday. We cooked three meals on the grill!

The cabin was larger than expected. I appreciated that dogs were allowed. Communication was excellent.We were pretty chilly as the electric fireplace and wall heater weren’t able to keep up with the cold. We were concerned about the wall heater so we didn’t leave it on when we left or were sleeping. Pillows could need an upgrade but the bed was comfy. Would love to comeBack in warmer weather.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. The wall heaters are inspected by the gas company yearly before winter they keep it very warm in the cabin. There is also carbon monoxide/ fire alarms for extra safety. Please come back and stay will us again.

My "virtual" host Ashlii was very nice and responsive, just make sure to check your email or the messaging portion on the VRBO app. The cabin was very neat and clean. The wifi worked and there are modern appliances and a TV. There were plenty of linens available. The shower had neverending hot water and there was a nice set of gas logs in the bedroom to warm up in the evenings. There is a gas heater in the livingroom too. There is a Kerig so bring your specialty K-cups for a taste of home. The area was not as secluded as I liked but everyone at the RV resort was very quiet so it was still as if we were alone and really not bad for the price. The location was minutes from restaurants and stores if you forgot something, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Shoneys breakfast buffet which I've not had since I was a kid. Also, Haywood Smokehouse has some fantastic brisket and ribs. If you want to find a nice, inexpensive spot to get away for a quick weekend, give this place a shot.
