This was an amazing stay! There were 6 of us staying for a college graduation weekend and we fit perfectly! It was incredibly clean and well stocked. Everything we needed. The hosts have preserved the old farm charm while including every modern convenience! We would stay again in a heartbeat!
Host was fantastic and the place worked well for our weekend! It’s a beautiful old and nicely updated farmhouse. The gift of banana bread was well appreciated by our group :-)One thing to be aware of, you are renting one unit in a farmhouse that has another rented to a different party. It would be helpful if the listing made that clear - as written it sounds like you are renting a full house. This didn’t negatively impact our experience, but it would be great to understand that up front.Overall we had a great time and Bob was very responsive and wonderful!
We enjoyed our stay. Location was close to everything we wanted to see in the area. The house is beautifully done and we would definitely stay again. Our entire group would recommend this house to anyone we know!

Hi Brenda!
Thank you so much for your excellent review—it was a pleasure hosting you! We hope you'll come back and see us again. Thanks again for choosing Willow Brook Farm!
Very good stay, bathrooms were excellent and temperatures good. Property was in excellent condition. Beds were pretty hard but good. Maybe a topper would be nice but that would be nitpicking.Construction crew was friendly and communicative about thr parking misunderstanding and overall coconsiderate. The bread was also good
You gave us such a warm & thoughtful welcome with a vase of fresh flowers & homemade banana bread! We had a wonderful time at your 1790’s restored farm house!!! It was very impressive & amazing the way you used the original beams of the house! You had everything that anyone would need even coffee! It was our 1st time using VRBO & you made it feel like home!!! Thanks for answering all my questions! And if we are ever in the area again… we definitely will book your place!!! Good luck with renovating the barn! That looks like it will be amazing too!!!Thanks again!Carol & Tommy

Hi Carol! Thank you for the wonderful review! It was a pleasure hosting you. We hope you'll come back in the future to see the improvements we're making. Thank you for choosing Willow Brook Farm.
The updating in the house was great. We commented on how well the updates had been done and how clean the house was. The owners were very friendly and supplied very quick and complete support. A nice surprise was a fresh loaf of banana bread the owner had supplied. The four spacious bedrooms had large beds. The downstairs has an open layout that worked great for our group gatherings. There was a little road noise from route 236, but it did not impact our stay. The location worked well for getting to various area destinations. We would certainly stay there again. There were 7 people in our group and we had plenty of space.

About the host
Hosted by Bob
Hello, I'm your host, Bob. I've lived in Southern Maine all my life, so far! I enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, kayaking and canoeing. I love being able to provide an inviting place for people to stay while they are visiting our area.
Why they chose this property
This 1790 farmhouse with an attached barn was in terrible condition when we found it—so bad, in fact, that most people said it should just be torn down. But those are exactly the types of properties my business partner and I love to acquire and transform.
The house was in such disrepair that we had to strip it down to the bare studs and start from scratch. Because so little of the original farmhouse could be salvaged, we decided to remodel it entirely with new, modern construction and fixtures—while still preserving its historic charm.
We did leave several original posts and hand-hewn beams in place, and added touches of reclaimed barn board as accent pieces throughout the home. The result is a unique blend of old character and new comfort.
The property sits on approximately 10 wooded acres with direct frontage on the Salmon Falls River. It's a beautiful setting, surrounded by rolling hills, forest, and wildlife.
The barn and surrounding grounds are still in the process of being renovated, so you may notice that some areas are still a work in progress. But the potential and beauty of this historic farmstead are already shining through.
What makes this property unique
This property is beautiful all on its own but it's also located close to many small town shops, restaurants, golf courses and event venues. It's less than an hour to bigger cities like Portland, Portsmouth, Dover, Manchester and Boston!
