About this property
Charming Maine cabin in Bridgton Highland Lake
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful woodland escape with lake access. Our cabin is nestled in the woods just steps away from Highland Lake. The cabin feels hidden and serene while the town of Bridgton is only a 6 minute drive to restaurants, pubs, movie theatres, ice cream stand, and lots of other local shops.
Skiing & hiking Pleasant Valley Mountain 9 minutes away. North Conway is 30 minutes away. 20 minutes from Fryeburg Fair. Bridgton Highlands Country Club 9 minutes away. Lots of local trails.
This is our family cabin that we have opened up to share a connection to nature and enjoy time and create memories with loved ones. Responsible guests looking to get away and enjoy swimming, water activities, skiing, ice skating, snowmobiling, hiking, golf, games in the yard, s'mores and conversations around the firepit.
Our cabin has a nostalgic charm with some modern amenities (wifi, TV, oven, toaster, coffee & cold brew machine, tea kettle). Dishes are hand washed and no washer or dryer. Cozy, comfortable and charming! Great outdoor deck for eating and relaxing. This cabin is suitable for guests of all ages though we do require the person booking to be at least 27 years old. Although we love dogs, not pets are allowed.
The kitchen and living room have an open concept with a wood burning fireplace for winter months. There are two bedrooms downstairs with queen beds and two small bedrooms upstairs with twin beds. We also have a 3 season room great for summer nights.
Guest access Entire house except our basement and garage, front and backyard, firepit, and our private association beach a short stroll away. We have two kayaks and a paddleboard, 2 adult life jackets and one kid life jacket available to use.
Other things to note During the winter the driveway is plowed and the deck is shoveled. We leave salt and sand in the 3 season room for you. Driveway can get icy please use caution. The association road to get to our cabin is also plowed however, we suggest a 4WD or AWD to ensure no one gets stuck. The host has no control over any roads except for the driveway. March - May is mud season we also suggest 4WD or AWD.
Plenty of trails for snowmobiles, and snowshoeing. Snowmobiles available for rent in the area.
We do not give refunds for inclement weather please plan accordingly.
Absolutely no smoking indoors or in the three season room. All smoking should be done outside - ashtrays provided outside on the patio area. Please do not flick cigarettes in our flower beds or around the yard use the ashtray. Thank you!
Please note: The front entrance has a number of stairs, but there’s a side access to the deck with fewer steps that may be easier for some guests.

The house was spotless and peaceful with everything you would need in the kitchen. One caveat, the beach is a 5-10 minute walk from the house. Overall, it was a great stay.
This cabin was an idyllic place to stay - tucked in the Maine woods with access to a gorgeous lake. We could not have asked for a better place to spend a quiet and peaceful weekend. The hosts were responsive, check-in and check-out a breeze, and the info packet left for guests is top notch. We would happily recommend this VRBO to anyone and plan to use it again ourselves if available.

Lovely home, clean and cozy. The screened porch was wonderful for games and conversation. The stove and fridge were great. Beds were comfortable, and every room had a fan. Check-in was super easy. We really enjoyed our stay.

About the host
Hosted by Amy Sadler
I'm a mother & a botanical artist. I love spending my free days in nature however I can. I love providing an experience for folks so we are happy to open our family home for all to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
We love the area because it's private and hidden in the woods with some neighbors and not far from the downtown area, skiing, N.Conway, Fryeburg, Portland. The lake is a short stroll through the trail and is super clean and quiet unlike other busy lake areas. We have a private association beach that is an added bonus.
What makes this property unique
Nostalgic aesthetic, cozy, and a bit rustic with some modern amenities. Nice outside deck with furniture and a solo firepit in the front yard.
