The host was great with communication and answered questions very quickly. The property was private, clean and very peaceful. We enjoyed the deck with a view of the bay. Our dog enjoyed being able to run around and sniff on her own for a bit. We felt remote, while being very close to stores, restaurants and sights to see.

A very peaceful spot in a quiet little corner of Maine. The cottage is super-clean and comfortable with lots of homey touches. A very gracious hostess made the whole process of booking and check-in very easy. We found many things to do in the area and would have found more had we had more time. We especially enjoyed visiting Quoddy Head State Park, a boat tour with Downeast Charters, dining at Fisherman’s Wharf in Lubec, and exploring the nearby village of Eastport. PS - The Lubec T-shirt Company is a great place for Lubec souvenir apparel!

If you want to experience peace, solitude, and rustic natural beauty in a cute little place that feels like a real home, this is a good place for you. My wife, three young children and I spent three nights here and were very comfortable. Rebecca had a great selection of games (battleship was a favorite) and other activities for the kids. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the necessary dishes, utensils, pots, and tools, which was great since we cooked all our own meals here. The easily accessible grill on the back deck was nice to have, and we used it twice during our stay. You can see down to a little cove through a gap in the trees and hear the ocean waves gently hitting the beach, which is fantastic when you have the windows open. We specifically chose this place for its proximity to Quoddy Head, which was a short 12-15 minute drive away. Overall I highly recommend it.

Beautiful property and amazing location. The dogs and I really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the ability to walk the really long private road off leash.

Great location for our adventure in Northern Maine to check out Lubec, Eastport and the Bold Coast. The house fit our needs perfectly.

The newly remodeled home was quaint and very clean. Nice quiet,secluded area! Well stocked with most items, be aware there were no complementary shampoos, conditioners or shower soap; we did not realize that and had to make trip to the store. We were there on 2 very hot days, no ocean breeze so the up stairs sleeping was stuffy and hot, 2 fans were provided but were very small so didn’t help much. The beds were comfortable and all towels and linens were excellent. We did not have much time to hang around the house although we took a few moments to enjoy the back deck with a small water view when the tide was in. We had an awesome time in the area exploring, hiking and experiencing the Downeast culture. Thank You!

Nancy, I am sorry about the stuffiness upstairs. The days that you were in town had to be the hottest days on record! Open windows at night and sometimes a small fan have always been sufficient. I will take this into consideration moving forward. Regarding the shampoos, conditioners, and soap, I checked my listing to ensure I did not have them listed as amenities. I did take great care to consider what guests would like and do stock kitchen soaps, cleaning supplies, and laundry detergent. The bath supplies are harder to supply; most guest have their own preferred items. I am happy you were still able to enjoy the area and all it has to offer. -Rebecca

This home was recently renovated and it is wonderful. From its deck you can hear and watch the tide come and go, and enjoy its peaceful location. It's also convenient to Cutler and Lubec. I hiked daily on nearby conserved lands with trails along the coast and spectacular views. If you're looking for peace and quiet and a comfortable stay, this is it.

Quiet and peaceful place. We really enjoyed our stay. The view from the new deck was beautiful. I sat outside on the deck to relax a few times and watched the tide come in and go out.There are hiking opportunities nearby. Our reactive dog was able to relax and enjoyed walks on the private road. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Tranquil and soothing

Very private and quiet except for the waves breaking gently on the shore. Cool ocean breezes make morning coffee pleasant on the deck or in the sitting room with the slider open. July 4 fireworks could been seen over the harbor in Lubec, Eastport and on Campobello Island simultaneously. Very unique experience.

We absolutely adored this place! A truly incredible location that is scenic and very relaxing. The house itself was great for a small family, although some people may struggle with the steep stairs. While there's no AC, we were still comfortable on one of the sunnier days by opening up all the windows and directing a provided fan out of an upstairs window so cooler air was drawn in elsewhere. The climate here by the ocean is generally quite a bit cooler than even a mile inland. I can't wait until we can come back here again sometime. It is very restorative to spend time here sitting on the deck watching the tide and looking out the windows at the fireweed in the meadow. It is also an exceptional place to stargaze - if the moon isn't out and the sky is clear, you'll be able to see the milky way galaxy very well.

We had an excellent stay! Immaculately clean and well equipped. The only suggestion would be a small bag of coffee for those travelers who arrive after the grocery store has closed. Well situated just outside of town in a tranquil setting, within walking distance of trails and beaches.

Perfect place for peace. We enjoyed hearing the tides come and go. Beautiful place off the beaten path. And the city of Lubec nearby had delicious restaurants, a cute coffee shop, and an eclectic craft brewery. Everyone in town was friendly and provided great suggestions for local sites.
