The farm and the barn loft were an excellent get away. Kind of like being in a Hunting lodge. The walk to Little Pond was not only beautiful, but the solitude was refreshing. it was close enough to Acadia that I would definitely stay there again. Thanks Becka
This quaint stay was everything we needed for our trip to MDI. Becka was a wonderful host (as was her angelic dog, Cayenne), and we loved the rustic setting. The rental was well and thoughtfully stocked. The outdoor shower was so enjoyable, serenaded by the nearby apiary. Even the early bird rooster made us laugh. Would happily stay again.
Honestly perfect! You get exactly what is advertised and then some--everything has been thought of inside this cozy loft (the coffee was clutch, I'd forgotten to bring any!!)I loved waking up to Teach the rooster and taking out my compost to feed Chadde. The walk to Little Pond was beautiful and it was so nice to be able to take the canoe for a morning paddle. Even though it was cold enough to snow, the heater in loft kept it warm--I didn't even need it at night. Will definitely be back!
I arrived at night. It was cold in the barn, I was told the heat was turned on, I don’t think it was enough time for my arrival to heat up the barn. Alas the heat warmed up the room and I slept ok. Just be aware that there is a rooster or two that Will wake you up. First time was 3 am and the second one was 4:14 am. I don’t think they were on new time change. Other than that it was rustic and peaceful. Thank goodness for a small lamp with a usb port! I brought the wrong charger 🤣. Cayenne came to say good bye by barking and saying thanks for being here

Sorry it wasn’t quite warm enough for you, but it is winter in Maine… Thanks for staying with us!
I raise my children on this little farm and have been here for 23 years… I really enjoy introducing people to this little slice of heaven.
Why they chose this property
We originally fell in love with this land as it was on the edge of vast wildlands, it was an old homestead that had lilacs from previous owners, but it was fairly abused before we got it and we have done a lot of extensive repair and plantings (and buildings!)
What makes this property unique
It’s a very unique and tucked away location, the road leading in and out to the land is gorgeous, curving along a fast flowing stream that eagles hunt over often…but please drive up and down it slowly because it’s narrow and we have neighbors!
