My family and I loved our stay. The location on the river was beautiful and we enjoyed all of the outdoor activities. The cabin was spacious and included everything that we needed. We look forward to staying here again in the future.
What a great house. Loved fishing off the dock and the quiet setting. Piggly Wiggly in town was easy to get to and great for local groceries. Great for outdoor family fun.
Property was stunning with every amenity we could use. Terry, our host, was exceptional! Even heloed us out when we locked ourselves out! This was an exceptional stay. Very pleasant experience and the facality, grounds, and views were WAY above expectations. Thank you so much
Cabin was clean and pet friendly. The beds were comfortable and enjoyed the decorations. The only issues were there's a wasps nest somewhere in the bedroom behind the kitchen and the light bulb in the stairway was burned out, which made it really dark. Other than that we had a great time.
The property was beautiful. We almost locked ourselves out of the house by using the deadbolt on the main door and leaving because the key pad doesn't unlock the deadbolt. There needs to be more lighting desperately in the living room as it is super dark. We had to go buy a lot of supplies that were supposed to be included suck as dish washing soap, trash bags, paper towels, etc. their shower soap they use is really great. There were so many wasps nests on the back porch and stairs. Multiple people got stung walking up and down the stairs. There is a lofted bed on the back porch that was was to gross to use. There were really nice canoes for us to use, but you might want to bring your own life jackets. The ones there were covered in spiders and left outside of the storage box. Lastly, it is located about 20 minutes from Paul Huff parkway, so you are about 20 minutes from the main city. Over all, it's a beautiful property and even though it has its quirks, we were glad to be there.
We enjoyed our short stay at the River's Edge. I'm afraid the weather didn't allow us to enjoy the property as much as we would have liked, but it's a really nice property. Outdoor furniture was all dirty, but I guess it's that time of year...and then it started raining. It was a great place1
Very good place to stay. Couple of ways to improve ie the third floor bedroom needs a chest of drawers. Had to handle clothing needs off the floor. Also, the outdoor deck has a loft that hasn't been cleaned in years, collecting trash/dust on a small bed mattress which is overhead. Shouldn't have taken the ladder up to see what was over our head.
The cabin was dirty, bedding was stained, trash was left in a bedroom. There were spiders and wasps nests everywhere and I was stung. There was no fire extinguisher and the grill was improperly put together and the lid fell off burning my husband. This was a terrible place to stay. DO NOT stay here if you have any other options.

We feel it is important to provide context regarding this review, as it leaves out significant details about the reservation and our interactions with these guests.
From the beginning, our clearly stated property rules were not followed. Our cabin has a maximum of two pets, yet these guests brought four dogs onto the property without disclosing them to us.
Throughout their stay, every concern that was brought to our attention was taken seriously and addressed promptly. On multiple occasions, we offered the guests the option to end their stay and receive a refund if they were unhappy or uncomfortable remaining at the property. They declined those offers and chose to continue their stay.
Regarding the alleged burn, we were shown a burn located on the back of the guest's husband's shoulder. Based on the location of the injury, we are unsure how it would have occurred in the manner described in this review. We do not want to speculate as to how the injury occurred, but we do want to clarify what was actually observed. The grill is a movable outdoor charcoal grill and is cleaned between stays. A water hose is also located only a few feet from the outdoor area.
We also take claims regarding cleanliness seriously. The cabin is cleaned and prepared between guests, and when concerns were brought to our attention, we responded and attempted to resolve them. Again, the guests were offered the opportunity to leave with a refund rather than remain somewhere they were dissatisfied with, and they chose to stay.
The situation ultimately escalated when we discovered that four dogs were being kept at the property despite our clearly stated two-pet maximum. The guests were then asked to leave due to the violation of our property rules.
After their departure, we extensively documented the condition in which the property was left. We found dog food and dishes left on the porch, dog urine throughout the porch area, damaged/ruined outdoor cushions, trash left behind, and an excessive mess requiring additional attention. We have photographs documenting these conditions.
We welcome legitimate feedback and use it to continually maintain and improve our property. However, we believe future guests deserve the full context surrounding this particular stay. We responded to the guests' concerns as they were raised, repeatedly offered them the opportunity to leave with a refund, and they chose to remain. The stay ultimately ended only after we discovered a significant violation of our pet policy.
We stand behind the care we put into our cabin and the way this situation was handled. We want every guest to have an enjoyable stay, and in return, we simply expect our property and clearly stated rules to be respected.
This is a very nice property and the river is great. Location was peaceful and 15-20 minutes to town, which was convenient. The outdoor area was not clean. There was cat hair on all of the porch furniture and the outdoor furniture in the picture near the outdoor fireplace was nasty and basically unusable. The "Green Egg" had old charcoal in it and wasn't very useable. It took us about an hour to get the porch furniture clean enough to be sittable. What's not in the description is that this is a stilt home. All of the living spaces are 18 steps above the ground and the Master bedroom is another 18 steps above that. So packing in our stuff and moving around the property is great if you are in training for climbing Mt Everest. Not so much for day to day living and walking down to the river. It's really a shame. Its such a nice property and has huge potential. A little more attention to detail and general upkeep would make it a 5 star for me, but its not there and I think others have mentioned that as well. I felt like we were paying for someone's play house and they weren't very accommodating to their tenants. We paid a premium price for a less than premium property. Its a pass for the next time we are in the area.

Hi there,
I am so sorry your stay was not up to your expectations.
I’m not sure why there would be cat hair unless there was a stray… we will get this taken care of and would have been happy to if you would have reached out during stay and that goes for everything you had a issue with.
As far as the steps it is mentioned in the properties description.
I just want to express again how sorry I am that you did not enjoy your stay and we will get these issues fixed.
