About this property

Midcentury-Modern Garden Level Apartment

Entire downstairs apartment of a two-level home. There is a private entrance, your own kitchen & bath with shower. Home is on a hillside. Nestled on one acre in a prime Santa Rosa location surrounded by oak, bays, olive, and fir trees.

The apartment is approximately 900 square feet and is the lower level of a single family home. The upstairs and downstairs living quarters are divided by a stairway and a privacy wall with french doors (no lock).

Apartment features a living room, kitchen with hot plate and bar, a bedroom with closet and window, another room with closet that isn't technically a bedroom because there is no window. There is a laundry room that also shares a space with the bathroom and a stall 2.5x3 (narrow!) shower.

You have your own patio that stretches the length of the house and includes a hammock, garden dining and views to the expansive lot around. The home is newly remodeled with concrete floors, new interior paint, and modern furnishings. Turkey, deer and squirrels love to come up to the patio and say hello.

Please note, starting January 2025 through Aug 2025, the lot adjacent to the apartment is undergoing construction with a new home being built. Excessive noise, large trucks, dust, and possible parking hindrances will be prevalent. Please consider this prior to booking.

Three things that we will ask you to confirm upon booking:
1. The property is a wooded hillside with a lot of uneven terrain. Parking is away from the house so it's a bit of a hike. Will the uneven terrain be a problem for anyone in your party?
2. Sounds - KID’s noises will be heard so if you're sensitive to this, this is probably not the space for you.
3. You acknowledge that you are aware of the new home construction on the adjacent lot.

Per Santa Rosa City Ordinance Section 20-48.070 (A)(8), Advertising and Listing Requirements:
a. The Maximum number of Daytime Guests is 4 (excluding children less than 3 years of age)
b. Number of dedicated off-street parking spaces is 4.
(Our road is a designated "Scenic Road" and so there is no available on-street parking.)
c. Quiet hours must be observed between 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.; and
e. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited.

Hi! We are a professional couple who like to travel and meet new people. We are respectful of people's homes and try to leave the homes we stay in as clean as we found them.

We own and run a company that supplies wineries, breweries and distilleries equipment for producing their products - such as tanks, pumps, presses, bottling equipment, etc. Our store is in Santa Rosa. As local business owners we are enamored with this place and this community. We have discovered a vibrant, gorgeous and diverse area where we work near orchards & vineyards during the week and in the evening and on weekends we hike, go to beaches, movie theatres, forests and countless wineries and restaurants. It is our home and we love it!

Why they chose this property

This home was built in 1962 and even though it's mostly updated there are still many details original charming details. The property is on an acre of wooded land. There is a ton of privacy because there aren't many homes around and a definite feel of being in a wooded reserve.

What makes this property unique

It's secluded and feels rural but yet right in the middle of town!
