Amazing property, smelled clean up on entry. The host was great to communicate with, and let my parents check in an hour early. I sent my parents for an anniversary trip here and they absolutely loved it. They have only ever stayed in hotels, so this was a huge change and I don't think they'll go back to hotels now haha.
The property was a really nice place to stay for a visit to Acadia. The rooms were clean and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. The major drawback was that the WiFi connection was not great, which was a problem for people who had to complete some work in the evenings. Some small issues were that the bedroom doors didn’t have locks, and the only spices in the kitchen were a small salt and pepper dispenser.
It was great, but lacked a few kitchen items and needed more silverware for 6 guest. Many light bulbs didn’t work and the WiFi was weak and spotty. Overall very happy with accommodations.
This was more seamless and easy than most hotels I have ever stayed in. And more comfortable as well. The condo had everything we needed. I would absolutely stay here again. It provided a great location that was relatively close to Acadia, while being convenient to local stores. Working with Derek was amazing. Quick answers to questions.
This place needs some TLC. Pros: Good location in proximity to Acadia. Took us 30 min. to get to the park. Comfortable beds. Communication with Derek was good, he quickly addressed issues with lighting we had. Cons: Furniture was worn down, carpets are in need of cleaning, missing utensils from the kitchen (not enough knives and forks etc.), some pots and pans are worn down and some were plain dirty. Wi fi was very slow and not available at all in some parts of the house.
I stayed at this rental with my husband and kids, and overall the property is great. It’s an easy drive to all things Acadia but is not overpriced and overcrowded like the Bar Harbor area. There was plenty of room for the four of us. Close to the restaurants and grocery stores in Ellsworth. Beds were comfortable. We did let the host know soon after check-in that a bedroom was missing its smoke detector and the bedroom light wasn’t working, we didn’t hear back about those issues. There is a full kitchen with the basics but nothing else. No coffee filters or even salt and pepper shakers, so we had to buy those. It’s a serviceable place to stay, especially with kids. Best of all, no chore list at checkout.
