'Wildwood in the Pines' is a rustic log home with some elegant and unique features located in Jay, NY. This cozy cabin has pine interior, heated tile floors, and a beautiful rock fireplace. A fully equipped kitchen, living and dining area, loft, two large bedrooms, family room with rustic bar, laundry room, two full bathrooms and a large deck makes this an ideal four season getaway for a family or a group of friends.

'Wildwood in the Pines' is located less than 9 miles from Whiteface Mountain and only a 20 mile scenic ride to the Village of Lake Placid and the Olympic Center Complex. Montreal, Canada and Burlington, Vermont are less than two hours away (great day trips!)

The High Peaks area of the Adirondacks offers many activities such as hiking, golf, biking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, ice skating, as well as shopping and fine dining in nearby Lake Placid. Fish in the Ausable River or swim in the famous 'Jay Swimming Hole'!

This quiet spot is also ideal for that much needed rest and relaxation. Read a book on the deck, take a walk, or relax in the whirlpool tub.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was very clean and cozy. We let Lorri know we would be arriving at night and she left the lights on for us which was very helpful. Cabin is located close to shopping and hiking, and we enjoyed relaxing at the cabin afterwards.

Perfect getaway

An absolute gem!

This was a perfect spot for our family to get away for a few days. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable, with more than enough room for our family of four. My teenagers loved the loft area with games. Lorri is a great host, quickly answering any questions we had. We loved our stay and would definitely book again.

Another amazing vacation!!!

We have been coming back to this cabin in Jay, because it is the most perfect place for a hiking vacation in the woods. It is perfectly located in the middle of the woods, far from the street, safe to run around and explore. It is close to many wonderful hiking trails in the high peaks as well and there are several nice villages and towns around to explore as well. The cabin itself is very well equipped and just perfect for a family of 4. It is just like shown on the pictures. We will be back again next year!

Exceeded Expectations!!!

What a fabulous cabin! We had a wonderful time skiing Whiteface and exploring Lake Placid but the most fun was had just hanging out at the cabin. A great layout for two couples - 2 beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, the decor was charming and perfect, everything was absolutely spotless and exactly as described or better! Many thanks for everything, we have already decided to make it an annual event!

Lovely cabin with all the amenities.

We enjoyed a very relaxing, comfortable vacation and hope to return! The cabin was very clean and cozy. It had everything we needed in the way of linens and for food preparation and dining. Everything worked as expected. Lorri always responded quickly to any questions. We brought our little Norwich Terrier and had to carry her up and down the stairs to and from the main floor, but if stairs are no problem for you then I highly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay!

Perfect Couples Getaway:)

We had a wonderful time at the Wild wood in the Pines this past weekend. It was beautiful, quiet,well laid out and very tasteful decorated.Plenty of room for the 4 of us and then some! We cooked a meal there 1st night....had all the right cookware needed for that already there. We played cards and had a fire both nights....enjoyed the only sounds being coyotes by night and birds by day. A short drive to many attractions...had a great meal Saturday night at the Hungry Trout. We would come back anytime we got a chance. Thanks so much for the use of your amazing cabin:) Rachel and Neil Mathews

Beautiful, peaceful cabin

Extremely beautiful cabin in the woods. A wee bit far from the main stream, but that is a good thing. It was easy to find yet very private. Very peaceful. According to our teenage grandsons, the only thing missing was internet - but the grandparents think that is a good thing! Beautifully decorated with stainless steel appliances and tile floors. Actually, it was cozier than home! Thank you for making this lovely cabin available through VRBO. Will definitely use again.

cozy and comfortable

Cute house on a wooded lot in the area of Jay known as Ausable Acres. It is a bit of a drive from the main road. Kitchen is well supplied with salt, pepper, sugar, sugar, and tea. There is a drip coffeemaker, so you will need your own ground coffee. Dish, dishwasher, hand and laundry soap provided. You will need your own shampoo and shower soap. (this is not a complaint--just a heads-up on what to pack and what you can leave home).

Beautiful home, well maintained, and very nicely nestled in the woods. There is a lot of up and down stairs as the main entrance is the basement level and kitchen is on the second floor. The only tv is in the loft (we wanted to catch the Bills game). Plenty of attractions, hiking, fishing in the area.
