Inviting first floor studio condo with porch and chairs and table for sitting and watching the sunset. Double bed and large futon. Cheerful and bright inside. AC, Cable TV, stove, refrigerator, bathroom with shower and tub. Lovely deck on the tidal river with table and chairs and community BBQ for your use. Park your car in your personal free space while you visit and take a short drive to Kennebunkport, Ogunquit and Perkins Cove. Wells Beach is a short walk up the street past the Beachcomber boutique and the Lafayette hotel. Walk the famous Marginal way along the water in Ogunquit, or sit on the beach for the day. Boutiques, restaurant and souvenir shops within 5 minutes of condo. Harborside Condos is on Mile Rd just over the causeway from route 1. Beach chairs are available free too. This Wells Beach condo is a lovely, quiet space facing the Webhannet Salt Water tidal river. The condo is in the back where the sunsets are spectacular. Take time with a drink or appetizers to sit and relax either on the porch or on the deck!

Pictures didn't do this condo justice! Though it's only one room, it felt very spacious.

We loved our stay at this condo! The decor was very charming and we never felt cramped for space. The views from the property are amazing, the beach is literally a 2 minute walk, and we loved that there was an arcade nearby as well. Lots to do it the area as well. Very pleased.

Cute, clean studio right near beach

My family and I frequent Maine a lot and have used VRBO many times. Never a disappointment. Condo was as pictured, nice and clean with extremely convenient location. Easy walk to beach, coffee/pastry shop right across from condos. I was a little worried being attached to others for noise but was pretty quite there. A little banging around in the morning hours but that is to be expected while people are getting ready to enjoy the day. The size of the studio is that of a typical hotel room, good size for two. The only real negatives I'll mention is the parking space, it's location can be tricky especially if you have an oversized vehicle. It's a bit tight getting in and out. The bed while at first seemed comfortable did start to bother mine and my husbands back. Everyone is different but we found it to be a bit lumpy, however my daughter loved the futon! We enjoyed our time and Wells and would recommend this location.

We Enjoyed our stay but would not recommend this condo for several reasons:

We are truly sorry for the disruption we caused the neighbors. This is not normal behavior for us. We are dealing with the recent loss of my father and other family issues. The shower had a lot of mold in the crevices of the shower stall. When a hair dryer was used it cut the electricity and the fridge did not come back on which ruined over $50 of groceries as we didn't realize it until it was too late. The bed mattress was not in good shape and smelled badly. We took 1 1/2 hours out of our vacation to strip the coverings and take them to a laundromat with the problem being the mattress cover that hadn't been washed in some time. Floors were gritty from sand. Otherwise we enjoyed the walks on the beach, the close proximity to the beach, and especially the piano bar in Ogunquit!

This condo was perfect for our getaway! Offering everything we needed in a small comfy package. The location was amazing. Very short walk to the beach and overlooking the salt marsh. Beautiful sunsets and friendly neighbors. We are already planning to return.

Having arrived after Labor Day weekend, we sis not have to contend with crowds or such. The apartment was very quiet with a nice view of the marsh. There was also a nice jar of local jam to welcome us. Overall, the apartment was not quite as expected. It was a bit worn and dated. There was, unfortunately mold in the shower/tub and the kitchenette storage and cookware was questionable. And the extra blanket needed washing. We were there at the end of the season so perhaps things just needed a year end cleaning and organization. Host communication prior to arrival was prompt and pleasant. Appears to be a good area for close beach access with a reasonable price.

We really enjoyed beeing so close to the beach and enjoying the sunset on the river. That was the best part of our stay. The negative aspects were as follow: AC was not working while the outdoor temperature was near 90o F. We could not lock the door from the outside (we saw that in a June review on your site someone was also mentionning that problem that was still not solve 2 mos later))!! The bed was not very confortable. The kitchen was well equiped dishes and tools wise (almost to much)= under the sink an old mini-fridge was used to stack cooking stuff wich we did not use (quite messy). Finally on the eve of our departure the fridge did kind of a "defrost" and we lost our meat (temp. went up to 65oF in the fridge... had to throw our meat out)! We decided to pack and leave (paid for 3 nights and stayed only 2). So even if we love the location - we would not lease that unit again.

Hello Paulette: thank you for your review. A locksmith came and fixed the locked. So sorry that it did not work properly for you. The AC is brand new..less than 6 months old. I believe you needed to push the red button on the wall by the sink to turn the electricity back on. The unit is being upgraded this fall. So sorry you found the bed uncomfortable. There are other units to rent in the area, perhaps you could give them a try. Thanks, Marge

A nice place with a fabulous location.

We loved the location as it was a stroll to the beach and had a lovely view of the tidal river. We did not like the bed pushed up against one wall. It wasn't convienient for the person who had to sleep on the inside at all. We also had a problem locking the door when we left to go out. The owner told us to leave it unlocked and reminded me we are supposed to leave the key on the table. Problem was we were staying another night so this wasn't an option. When she finally understood this she said she would get someone to look at it after we left which wasn't at all helpful. The guy upstairs tried to help and we made it work. Overall it was a nice, comfortable place and worth the price. I would give it 4 stars if the bed was more accessible.

Very Cozy Condo with a Pretty Awesome View

My husband and I were a little worried about booking a studio Condo since we are used to being able to spread out a little. This Condo does not disappoint. It is a little on the small side; however, it has everything that you need...including a two-burner stovetop. The only thing that I did not care for was the sink...not deep enough...but not a deal breaker. The view outside our sliding glass doors is much nicer than we were expecting and we did have the good fortune of experiencing both sunrise (on the beach...literally a 3 to 5 minute walk from our condo) and sunset (right outside our condo) during our visit. The condo is very beautifully decorated....loved the artfully painted chairs & stands. The location of this condo is ridiculously convenient. You can literally walk out your door and to the beach in just minutes. We did not utilize the trolley but the trolley does stop just a few doors up from this condo. Shops, restaurants just minutes from this location. I know that we were staying in Maine...seafood should be the thing, right? Well, take it from us...you have to try The Steakhouse...right up the road...on Route 1....amazing meal--recommended by one of the condo owners...very friendly gentleman. You will not be disappointed. Anyway, we were very pleased with our visit at this location. I do apologize for not taking the time to let you a note of thanks for the complimentary blueberry jam Margaret (a very nice touch)...we just got caught up in the moment and, before we knew it, it was time to check out. You have an amazing space and we are so thankful to have spent some time there. Thanks for sharing and we will be sure to recommend you to anyone who may be thinking of visiting Wells in the future. :):):)

Cute Condo

Condo was just as described, Good sized shower with good water pressure .Bed was very comfortable. Quite Area with Great views of coastal waterway. Parking spot was little tight for my full sized Crew cab Pickup, would not have been able to use with car beside me, fortunately another guest who recognized that my truck would not fit graciously offered to use one of his spots, if you have a small to medium-sized car this would not be an issue if you have a SUV or truck you're not going to be able to get in with car beside. The condo is in a Great location to enjoy this beautiful area . Marge was Great deal with .

Beautiful, quiet studio is wonderful!

My husband and I visited Wells Beach for a weekend in late September. It was my husband's first trip to the ocean and I couldn't have picked a better place to stay! Marge's studio condo is clean and well equipped. There is a small refrigerator (about half sized), a stove top, a microwave, toaster oven and kitchen sink. For sleeping and relaxing there is a soft, comfortable queen sized bed and a futon. Cable TV for evenings winding down. A retro, very clean, shower/tub in the bathroom. You will find everything you need here outside of basic toiletries (and we did have to get toilet paper). There are lots of menus for local places, beach chairs and a beach umbrella. There are gas grills and a gorgeous deck on the tidal waterway. There is a restaurant across the street, a general store a few spots up from that, a candy store (during the summer months) and various other shops within walking distance. If you want to go to the movies it is a short drive into town, where you can also go to Hannaford and lots of other restaurants/shopping. Marge is easily accessible via text or call. Most important - the beach is less than a block away! We loved this place and will return!!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Condo was absolutely perfect for a spontaneous getaway for two!! Fantastic central location this condo lived up to all it says! From fishing to shopping to beaches it has it all. Being able to cook out on the grills was an added bonus. Very friendly atmosphere. Had a great time chatting with neighbors as we enjoyed our "home" time on the balcony. Would highly recommend a stay! Can't wait to get back! Thank you Marge for sharing your place and getting back to me so quickly on everything!

This place was wonderful and everything that was listed was true. Great little place to stay. Very friendly people in the condos and the neighbors were pleasant also. Enjoyed coffe on the porch in the morning. Played cards on the small table there at night watching the dun set. The beach and area was wonderful and we'll kept. Much Needed Escape

This was a picture perfect stay for us - Marge was extremely accommodating and very easy to reach with any questions we had prior to, during, and even after our stay. The unit was clean, cozy, comfortable, and affordable. The location afforded us beautiful views of the Webhannet River; morning tides rolling in/out and gorgeous breathtaking sunsets each evening. The condo was nicely furnished with both a queen bed and a futon. It has a small fridge/freezer, tiny dinette set for (2), very well-lit, nice AC, outdoor seating, access to a gas-grill, virtually everything you need for a relaxing scenic get away. Location is a 3-minute walk beautiful Wells beach, 5-minute drive to great local restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Hanafords Grocery, Remy's and tons of cute gift shops. Being in Wells you're nestled in the center of Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. And, you're very close to York, Kittery and Freeport. Book today with confidence! This was a wonderful place with a an equally wonderful owner!

Wonderful stay at Wells Beach condo

My husband and I had a great time at Marge's Wells Beach condo! We stayed two days, and asked to stay another day because we were having such a relaxing time, but the condo had unfortunately already booked. The cutely-decorated condo is very cozy (one room with kitchenette and bathroom so probably best for one or two people, though there is a futon that would sleep two more...it would be tight but possible for more than two). It's equipped with everything you need, such as coffee maker, pots and pans, etc. We appreciated the two beach chairs, and the porch right outside the door has a table and chairs where you can relax and watch the sun set over the estuary. The deck (with two grills) is shared by the other occupants and is located about 40 feet away at the end of the parking lot, but is right on the estuary (we didn't use it but it looked like a nice area to grill and gather). The best part about the condo is the location - it's only a very short block and easy walk from the most beautiful beach I've ever seen, and it's a short drive (like 10 minutes) from other locations such as Kennebunkport and Ogonquit. We are nature-lovers, and there are two great parks nearby: the Wells Reserve at Laudholm and the Rachel Carson Wildlife Reserve. The Wells Reserve has miles of trails you can take through the woods and to the beach (bring bug spray, though!) and watch the seabirds and learn about the estuary ecosystem. There are several good restaurants within walking distance of the condo, and a grocery store, as well. The location is very quiet and laid-back (we weren't there on the weekend, so don't know if that would change the activity level), and we had some good sleeps there. Marge was very responsive to e-mail questions we had. Overall, a wonderful and affordable place to stay, and we would choose Marge's place again if we're ever back in this area. Thank you!

I have not rented my condo for the past 5 years. My family has enjoyed it each year since then. I would like others to enjoy this special place for a Summertime vacation in this special location in Wells Beach Maine. This is a quiet condo building with a combination of owners and owner rentals. It is a relaxing space to read on the deck or on the porch. There are wonderful sightseeing opportunities if you prefer to get out and about. Kennebunkport and Ogunquit are only 10-15 minutes away by car.
There are some wonderful restaurants in the area as well. The sunsets are amazing.

Why they chose this property

My family loves Wells Beach and especially the atmosphere here. We are located 3 minutes from the beach and we also face the tidal river located in the back of Harborside. Quiet in the back and warmer and sunny. I visit each Summer to be with my family members who come together once a year here to enjoy lobsters, steamers, the beach and kayaking on the river. I just love it here! All my guests have really enjoyed staying here! There are a few boutiques 3 minutes away and Forbes restaurant for lunch or ice cream!

What makes this property unique

Everything is so close. Upon arrival shorts and tees and bathing suits are the relaxing attire. So easy to get to the beach. Wonderful to sit on the deck or porch and enjoy lunch or dinner with a cold drink. Get dressed up later or go casual to the restaurants on route 1 or in Kennebunkport or Perkins cove. BBQ is the icing on the cake! Yumm The views of the Marsh are serene and the sunsets gorgeous.
