Shoreline Escape - Waterfront Relaxation

Enjoy the comforts of our lake house! Perfect for couples, a family or two, or small groups.

Our location is perfect for what Cedar Creek has to offer. Whether you like to spend your days on the boat, relaxing and reading a book by the lake, swimming, fishing, kayaking, or visiting Canton Trade Days, this house offers it all!

Play: Bring your own boat, launch at one of the convenient local ramps, and dock at the house for the duration of your stay. We provide premium mooring whips to keep your boat safe and securely attached to (but not up against) the dock. Our driveway is long enough to park with your trailer attached. No boat? No worries! We have a kayak you can use, and you can fish and swim off the dock. There is a large back yard to throw a ball around, have a picnic, and grill.

Eat: We have a fully furnished kitchen and a grill outside with plenty of places inside (4 at the bar, 6 at the table, 3 at the bar table) and outside (4 at the table, 4 patio chairs) to eat. The pantry has some of the basics. We have a 'take some, leave some' policy, so check with us before you buy oil, salt/pepper, etc.

Evening: After enjoying a day in the sun, you can relax inside with board games and a brand new 60" smart TV with internet access for Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video. Or just sit on the patio and enjoy an amazing sunset! There's also a large heater on the deck for you to sit under on those unexpected cooler Texas nights.

Sleep: You can comfortably sleep up to 6 people at our lake house. We have one bedroom with a queen bed and another with a king and bunk beds. If needed, the couch in the living room is very deep and comfortable, perfect for napping. The mattresses and sheets are super comfortable, perfect for snuggling up at night after a day of fun on the lake!

Location is Fantastic

Great location. Updated boat dock provides easy access to/from the lake with a public boat ramp just across the bridge. House has been mostly remodeled with some nice updates. As described, it does get warm in the living area and guest bedroom due to the large windows that allow for the beautiful view of the lake. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Lake House for Our Family

We spent five nights here with our four children and loved every minute of it! The house has everything you could possibly need and is very comfortable. The view from the living room and backyard is gorgeous. We loved watching the sunset each night. Our kids loved fishing off the dock and swimming around the lake. This is a great location super close to Walmart, restaurants, and the movie theater. We felt perfectly at home here and can't wait to come back!

For the most part the house had all we needed.

We had a good time with our kids and our friends. We loved the kitchen. It was fully equipped with all we needed and we were even impressed with the quality of kitchen-ware. The beds were very comfortable however the bed in th second bedroom didn’t have a top sheet, only a fitted sheet, probably just oversite. We would have loved to fish off of the dock but it was badly damaged, however the friendly neighbor let us fish off of his. The house was very clean and we enjoyed the open floor plan and all the seating available.

House is great, host communicated very well with us. Maybe I’m just to picky but house had lots of spider webs, oven was dirty frig was ok. BUT everything else was great in the house. The dog two doors down is extremely annoying but that can’t be help. We had fun. Definitely will do it again.

My family of 5 and brother and sister in law with their daughter all came and there was plenty of space! We loved the big open windows and utensils for the kitchen! House was clean and updated! We played all day on the boat and fished each night off the dock in the back. The owners responded to all questions sent in a Timely manner. The only complaint we had was we wanted to use the boat slip with lift, but neighbors boat was using it, so we had to be on the outside of dock. Didn't feel safe leaving it all night so had to unload and load each day. Aside from that we had a great time and would definitely use this home again!

Great Family Getaway

We booked this property for New Years Eve. We had our 2.5 year old, our 6 month old, and booked with another couple who had a 3.5 year old. The property was perfect. There is a full kitchen so we were able to adequately prepare and eat all of our meals onsite. There is a front room with a TV so the kids could utilize that space when they wanted to (or if an adult wanted a quiet area to get away and read). The main living room is within eye site of the kitchen (a must for moms!) and both rooms look out onto the vast backyard, lake, and dock. We brought a pack n play, and with the large beds and bunk beds everyone was accommodated for (and two full bathrooms, yay!). The two toddler boys played in the grassy backyard at night with bubble guns and watched the fireworks go off, while the adults were able to sip a beverage and relax on the back porch. The boys fished from the dock the next morning and even caught some fish! The property has updated finishes with nice, new furniture. It is decorated well and doesn't have a lot of personal items from the owners (we have stayed in some VRBOs that have had waaay too many personal owner's items). Very well kept, has all the amenities you need to enjoy a weekend or a week. With as close of a drive from Dallas as this is, and the really reasonable price, we will definitely be back for weekend family getaways.

Great 4th of July house

This house was very spacious and clean. Comfy beds and good location on the water. Very nice neighbors and it was a great spot to watch numerous fireworks around the lake! Things to be aware of: The hall bathroom also houses the washer and dryer so it is very narrow. The den has a wall of windows without coverings and gets full afternoon sun. It makes it hot in the den/kitchen. The AC works great so you can retreat to other rooms if needed. Looks like they recently lost a tree in the back so perhaps there was once shade. The house appears to be in mid renovation with new floors, freshly painted walls but cabinets and bathrooms are not updated. Kitchen was well stocked, only missed sheet trays.

Great Weekend Escape!

This was just the perfect place for us, our daughter/SIL and son/DIL! The house was super clean. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, swimming and kayaking. The sunsets were breathtaking! My family and I absolutely loved our stay here! The crazy weather took a turn and dropped 30 degrees on our day of check-in, but being October that’s expected here in Texas. That did not stop us from having a blast. This house is so elegant but also great for kids. We really enjoyed playing in the large yard together as a family and also the board games indoors! They have everything you need plus extras, especially in the kitchen. The linens were so comfy with plenty to go around! At night time my husband and I made use of the very cool heater on the back porch which allowed us to spend time together with the amazing, relaxing view of the lake. The owners are very nice and communicate well with anything you may need and made check-in on a rainy day so simple. Thank you so much Ryan and Pearl for allowing us to enjoy your property for the weekend! We are looking forward to many more stays here in the future! JanLee B.

Beautiful home on Cedar Creek Lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this home for a week! The house is beautiful and clean. It was so nice to see they had toilet paper, trash bags and paper towels stocked already. I can't tell you how many properties I have supplied that for! The beds are all comfy; hotel quality duvets, blankets and pillows. Every morning I sat out on the patio and had my coffee and watched the birds and rabbits. Such an array of birds! We met a few of the neighbors and they were all so nice. They offered the use of their docks and ladder since the dock wasn't repaired at this house. That was the only the downside but we knew when renting because of Ryan's excellent communication beforehand, that the dock wouldn't be functioning. The house was perfection...wonderful layout, plenty of room, big kitchen that was well stocked with all that we needed to cook. Another plus... they provided PLENTY of plush bath towels. The kayak was a great addition to our fun and they even provided the lifejackets. We shopped in Mabank at the Brookshires because the Walmart nearby leaves little to be desired. We really enjoyed our time!

As pretty as the pictures

Two couples on a 4 day weekend. Great house. Updated. Very clean and well appointed. We cooked in kitchen or BBQ for every meal. Mattressex EXTEREMLY comfortable. High quality furniture. Beware... only two bedrooms. Worked fine for us though. Extra bunk beds in master and pull out in 2nd living area. You could fit a ton of kids in that room on air mattresses, then close the barn door !
