-Stay connected with WiFi & a smart TV
-Cook in a full kitchen with dining space

Whether you’re chasing spring rainbows, fall trophies, or a true Alaska outdoor escape, this Kenai River slough cabin delivers lodge-quality access without the lodge price.

Spring Fishing Advantage (May–June)

One of this property’s biggest advantages is spring rainbow trout fishing when the upper Kenai River is closed. From May 1 through early June, anglers can target spring rainbows in the slough and nearby waters while others wait for the opener. Come June, water levels rise and access improves—making this an ideal early-season destination.

Fall Trophy Season (Aug–Oct)

Fall is prime time. Kenai rainbow trout reach legendary sizes as salmon spawn, with aggressive feeding and fewer crowds. September offers the best combination of trophy trout, silver salmon, and stunning fall colors. October is ideal for experienced anglers targeting large fish near Skilak Lake.

Hunting Basecamp & “Cast & Blast”

This cabin also functions as a strategic hunting basecamp during fall seasons. Guests can combine morning fishing with afternoon waterfowl hunting—a true Cast & Blast experience. Moose, ducks, geese, and small game opportunities exist nearby (all guests must follow ADF&G regulations).

Easy Access & DIY-Friendly

- Private dock on the Kenai River slough—fish right from the property

- Boat launch is minutes away on Fisherman’s Road
Dot’s Landing (Sterling) is directly across the river—ideal for guests coming from Anchorage

- Drift trips from Lower Skilak can end at the cabin

- Kayaks and pack rafts welcome

This property is best suited for self-guided anglers and outdoorsmen who value flexibility, access, and independence.

Beautiful Property

This place is amazing! Very serene and beautiful! We even saw a moose and baby right outside the front window and running through the river out back.

Perfect Kenai property

The home was phenomenal! Dock right off the back of the cabin in the slough that we found to be really quiet and peaceful. Bald Eagles everywhere! The sauna was a really nice touch. I’ll be staying here again in the future.

The Ultimate Alaska Getaway!

This place is truly a gem on the Kenai River. From the moment we stepped inside, we were blown away by the beauty, craftsmanship, and tranquility this home offers. It’s brand new with high-end finishes throughout every detail feels thoughtfully designed. The vaulted ceilings and open layout make the space feel massive, yet still warm and inviting. No matter where you are, you’re connected to the outdoors—watching the river flow, eagles soar, or just soaking in the peaceful stillness of Alaska. You truly feel one with nature. The private sauna was the cherry on top. After a day of fishing and hiking, it was the perfect way to unwind. The location is also ideal—right on the river, but close enough to everything you might need. And to top it all off, Tyler was an incredible host—super responsive, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience. We can’t wait to come back. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting the full Alaskan dream.
