About the host
Hosted by Jason Nichols

A second generation Alaskan, I was born in Anchorage and raised on the Kenai River - learning to fish before riding a bike. I make my home in Anchorage with my wife and two kids. Our friend and co-owner also lives in Anchorage with his wife and two children. We purchased this property from our in laws when my father in law retired - when he isn't snow birding in Arizona, he serves as the property's resident handy man and story teller.
When we aren't in the "big city", we are enjoying the amazing fishing and peaceful tranquility this property has to offer. We hope you enjoy your stay at this piece of heaven on the river.

Why they chose this property
The family purchased this property in the summer of 2005, when it was just a shell on the foundation. Everything from the ground up has been meticulously added and installed, using only quality materials, fixtures and appliances. Over the years we have added things to make it 'just right' - from the covered fire pit with Trex decking to the covered fish cleaning station situated next to riverside fishing platforms. As our family has expanded, so has entertainment for the kids in the form of a sandbox, swing set and zip line.
What makes this property unique
This property has the best of everything - a modern home with all amenities on a private, spacious lot with an abundance of riverfront. Fishing is available right from the dock any time of day. Waking up to the sounds of the river rushing by is something that never gets old.
