No loud activities outdoors after dark. Normal conversation on the porch is fine but no amplified music or yelling. Children being children is fine.
No using the wood burning stove unless its below 50F. Many neighbors open their windows on cool evenings so they don't like smokey air when it's warm.
Please don't leave any food outside overnight. It's the mountains and there are bears among other critters.

This property was clean, welcoming, had all the amenities needed and was very comfortable. It was a bonus to have a garage for our vehicle. We had great communication with the owner on details about the property.
Our second time staying here. Perfect for our group of one adult, two teens and two dogs. There is a great fenced yard, great cookware, 40 minutes to Kirkwood ski resort - everything you need for a ski weekend getaway! It was clean and easy to get in. Kevin was super communicative throughout our stay.

About the host
Your host
I'm from the Tampa bay area and usually spent my childhood vacations on Sanibel Island. Those family memories are precious to me so the opportunity to host other families as they create fond memories makes the effort rewarding.
Why they chose this property
The Buckhorn-Silver drive neighborhood stood out for a few reasons. Accessibility from the Bay Area within three hours but without the Tahoe traffic penalty was a big one. Being situated close to the fluctuating snowline means that one can usually drive there on normal tires but still be within a 35 minute drive to Kirkwood. However, when it does snow in the neighborhood, it's not too far from the highway on roads that aren't too steep and with a very level driveway. And because there's a PG&E hydroelectric dam on nearby Tiger Creek, the neighborhood gets priority plowing after snowstorms.
What makes this property unique
It's a small A-Frame cabin in what many would describe as a normal, rural suburb with homes not too far away but not too close either and with many tall beautiful trees on and around the property. Tahoe feel but without the Tahoe price or traffic.
