Lorraine was the perfect host! Great communication before and during our stay. Very nice welcome treats upon our arrival. Lorraine was very kind, helpful and generous and her response time is almost immediate.Her home is gorgeous, clean, and so comfortable. It is very well appointed with lovely landscaping and a wonderful patio, including a fire pit.We stayed with our three girls and it was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfy couch and amazing, huge island.We were very happy with the location of the home; close to everything.We loved it so much we already booked another vacation.Thank you, Lorraine. What a fantastic home in a great location! The neighborhood is very safe and close to restaurants and shops in old Folsom. Beds are comfortable, house is so nicely decorated, and everything was just perfect. The backyard is a lovely place to gather. Lorraine is a stellar host, so helpful, accommodating, and was in touch throughout our stay, and was there for us if we needed anything. Just an all around fantastic stay.

This is a fantastic, clean, perfectly located house for a weekend in Folsom! The owner was very responsive and there was a ton of room to spend out and relax in the home. It's a great base from which you can explore the surrounding area. My friends and I went rafting and it was an easy drive to the meet-up spot!

This home was amazing! With two living rooms we could spread out and no one had to fight over TV's! The kitchen was beautiful as was the backyard where we could enjoy the afternoon and an adult beverage. We could walk to downtown Folsom really easily and couldn't be happier with our stay!

Birthday Weekend Trip

Overall, the stay was wonderful. Lorraine was a great host who was always quick to respond, house was as described, and check-in and check-out was simple. One of my friends accidentally left a bag and Lorraine notified us right away. Thank you again for being such a great host and for the little birthday touch.

Great big kitchen that accommodated 7 adults. AC was excellent for some but I personally was a bit cold at times. Location was perfect since we did white water rapids which was in Lotus about 40 minutes away. I would definitely come here again. House is immaculate.

Exactly what you would want in a VRBO experience... a great communicating property owner and a beautiful and clean property. Lorraine, was so helpful every step of the way with our trip. She answered our questions about the area and helped us plan our activities. The small touches around the house on our arrival were amazing. She is what every rental owner should strive to be. The house was fantastic! Incredibly clean spacious and well designed. We had 8 adults on our stay and the layout in the house and backyard easily accommodate our group. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The town of Historic Folsom was great too. We had a busy few days and enjoyed the restaurants such as Plank, Fiori, and Crawdads on the Lake which is on the other side of the river. We had a great time at the Powerstation Sunday Blues concert as well. We also were very active on the many miles of amazing bike trails that you can access right from the house. Paddle boarding and kayaking the river was all top notch. We also were very impressed with the great condition of the public pickle ball courts that were not to far away at Lembi ParkThe only downside on our trip is that I will likely now compare other VRBO owners and houses to Lorraine and her beautiful place in Folsom. She has set the bar very high for delivering and catering to her guests. We are definitely looking forward to our next stay.

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful Folsom house with our large group of family and friends. The house is truly beautiful. It’s perfectly laid out for a bigger group to enjoy with a large living area connecting off of the beautiful kitchen. The outside sitting areas were very nice to enjoy on a warm evening with the fire pit and plenty of seating. All the bathrooms were gorgeous and had everything we needed. Our whole group kept remarking on how well appointed the house was. We really had just about everything we could’ve needed as we cooked, entertained, and just generally enjoyed the property. The house is so close to the old town Folsom area which we walked to every day and it’s super convenient getting to the lakes and river. Lorraine is an exceptional host. She checked in periodically throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, but it never felt like she was hovering. She gave us plenty of space to truly enjoy her property. The check out instructions were also very manageable. We look forward to hopefully coming back and staying at the property again. It was perfect!

Welcome to my home. I am from Southern California originally and moved to this area in 1990. I have raised two children in Folsom and recently retired from a fulfilling profession in Parks and Recreation.

My husband and I are avid cyclists, trail users, and local supporters of Folsom’s many amenities such as our lake, rivers, great restaurants, and engaging events.

I recently purchased this home with the intention of sharing it with you.

Why they chose this property

During the summer months there are weekly concerts in the Zittel family amphitheater which is a few minute walk from the house, every Saturday there is a Farmers Market (rain or shine), on multiple weekends throughout the year there are Faires and events up and down Sutter street, during the winter season there is an ice rink around the turntable, a Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony and many other festive events along the fully lit and decorated Sutter Street. You’ll enjoy different foods, treats and shops. Folsom Historic District is the gem of Folsom and only steps from this gorgeous home. Yours steps to Lake Natoma, city and state trails, bike rentals and the iconic Johnny Cash Art Trail Experience.

What makes this property unique

Both the front and backyards have been recently renovated (May 2025) to enhance your enjoyment. The front yard paths are accessible from the driveway and the street.
